Ricci de Forest is the owner and curator of the shop and museum and has been putting his vinyl collection to a great use in the Atlanta community. Every Thursday, he packs up some select records from decades past and brings them to A.G. Rhodes Health and Rehabilitation Center to share his music with those who grew up with it.
I went on a huge commemorative march from Peachtree Street to the MLK Historic Center. I was very cynical about doing it at first because I didn't feel like any change was actually being accomplished by walking a couple of blocks but once I got there everyone was so spirited and friendly people were chanting "No justice, No peace, No racist Police" and "Black Lives Matter " and there were die ins and people with flags and posters. It really revitalized my love for the city I live in and my passion for civil rights to see so many people out there paying tribute to King. To see so much solidarity and compassion was really uplifting.
Streetcar responses

I hope so. This is the inaugural day, so it remains to be seen. At 7:30 tonight it was pretty crowded, but festive. A month from now? Hopefully more than tourists will be on it, but right now it serves the tourists, the relatively few downtown residents, and the GSU students. Once it extends further eastward, and connects with the Atlanta Beltline, ridership should expand a great deal, to the benefit to the businesses on the line.
