It had been two years since that day. His partner had left him, now being together with a new trainer, a new hero who could pursue their dream. That only left him to wonder if Hilda, the hero who opposed him those two years ago, still retained her dragon. He wasn’t certain if she did. Their bond though was strong and he imagined perhaps they would be life long partners. That was the most sound calculation that went through his mind.
The castle he had lived in was broken, overrun with wild Pokemon. It was his home, his world, but it needed to be left, abandoned and returned to nature so the Pokemon around could live in harmony with it. He made certain the castle could be reformed to suit Pokemon well if it were to ever crumble in the future. He was glad to see it fulfill that purpose.
But where to go now? Nimbasa? No it was too lively. As much as he loved the Ferris Wheel, it never felt the same nowadays. After that ride with Hilda so long ago, it would just remind him of her, the hero who changed his entire view on the world. How he wished he could see her once more just to tell her that he had finally learned what that fight meant. He figured he’d go to a peaceful place, Nuvema Town. Professor Juniper invited him there before.
He’d arrive there without much time being lost. His Aerodactyl was kind enough to give him a ride. It was very nice of them. The Town was as calm as ever. He recalled coming to this place long ago, seeing young children playing. One with blueish hair, a blonde girl, and a girl with brown hair. They looked so happy.
Then... it happened! He stood in front of a window and he saw her, the hero, “Hilda!”
“There--I can’t believe it. Were our paths suppose to meet here? Was I called here because Juniper knew the my equation would be balanced from arriving? How....?” He could only see her back. But her was certain, the moment she turned around--what would he do? He didn’t know how his mind or body would react.
