Hey you guys, haven't uploaded a choreography video in a really long time so I thought I'd put one together. Audacity Cru originally performed this set for World of Dance Seattle 2013, and you can watch that full performance here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-UIfU... I wanted to take on a different storyline when it came to this song and video other than the typical teenage love/lost relationship. To me, this song brings me back to my early high school days and just being carefree and wreck-less with my friends. Growing older, you gain more responsibility and that mentality of not really caring and having fun all the time sort of fades away so I wanted to capture how my daily life today is - waking up, getting ready for work, etc. and then coming across old memories and making me reminiscent of those good, younger times in my life. Basically thinking if I could go back and capture that same essence and attitude from being a teenager to now, I would be able to take a break from the norm and monotony of being a grown up and just enjoy moments as they happen instead of having to stress or constantly plan and think ahead of "what's next?"  Hope you guys enjoy. rambling thoughts before bed.

I had a really good weekend.

Went down to portland yesterday morning with my crew and played around by the water fountains and Portland market before our show in Vancouver. performed two sets at groove nation’s 10th year showcase and had a lot of fun :) much love to groove nation/remix for inviting us to come perform. We love you all and wish we all lived closer :( haha

Afterwards went out to eat with some members of RMX at their Applebee’s and..why was it so much better than the ones we have up north?! Hahahaha. Matt and I kept talking about how their strawberry lemonade and menus were ON POINT. LOL. left pretty late and finally got home around 2ish. Suuuuper late after a long day.

got some sleep and then had a 7 hour rehearsal/intensive with audacity today in that fucking 90 degree weather. trapped inside a studio with NO air conditioning was a biiiitch haha. did stretches, technique, learned a contemporary piece, did insanity (lolol), then taught a quick little thing to my crew to help them learn, pick up, and retain choreography faster. Was challenging and faster paced, but I really hope it helped them.

after all that intensive type stuff, taught them a new piece that’s…different and not something or a style I’ve necessarily taught to before. I was nervous to teach ‘em but afterwards got compliments on it. That made me feel better about it because I really feel like this piece is going to push me creatively as a choreographer, take risks, and I’m really glad they’re receptive of it and supportive of me. Still have to finish some parts, but I’m really excited for it. I hope they are too.

Today kicked my ass. I’m going to sleep well tonight haha. Too bad I have to open at work tomorrow :/ actually, nevermind. Means I’ll be off at 4 and get to enjoy the sun and more hot 90 degree weather lol. Finally beginning to feel like summer here in Washington :)

If you’re reading/read this, I hope you had a good a weekend and that you appreciate all the little things around you. I feel like I’m getting better at not take things for granted but I know I could still use more work. I’m in a good space right now and I’m thankful every day to have good people in my life and to be able to do the things I do.

Hey Tumblr :D

This is my crew's performance from this past weekend at Unrated's 10th Year Anniversary showcase. Thanks to Kolanie and the whole PG Fam/The Connection for having us again. The show was INSANE. Dope performances and crews from all over Washington, Oregon, AND Canada. PNW, STAND UP! Whole weekend left me feeling blessed, inspired, and ready to train even harder. I love the dance community, and all the positive vibes from this weekend.

Post Workshop

After having such a good day yesterday with dance, here I am, at work not doing what I love LOL. No but seriously, on behalf of Audacity Cru I would like to thank everyone who came out to our workshop yesterday and who sessioned with us afterwards. Special shout outs to Groove Nation/Koncrete Movement/ the COMMUNITY for traveling, coming through, being challenged, and for being AMAZING. It really means a lot to us to know that whatever we're doing, we're at least having SOME sort of impact and by having you all there only meant that much more to us. Events like that are truly amazing & a blessing to have everyone in one room and just go OFF. Positive vibes & SUPPORT to everyone within the community! Love you all and hope to see everyone again soon!

Found out tonight that someone has been going around and telling people she's apart of Audacity Cru to get respect and what not.

I'm pretty sure there are eleven of us on here..and I'm sorry you are not one of them haha. Plus, that's hella going to affect your future auditions with us, and I am going to clown you.

Plus, you wasn't with me puttin' in hours of work cleaning the team and making up choreo! haha
