This image from a 1980s german Aiwa catalogue goes so ridiculously hard - why have they staged it like the hifi is an alien??

Being a audio engineer is stealing your brothers aux chord (with permission) to practice correct cable wrapping
I’m really my happiest alone in a recording studio. Recording, mixing, arranging, etc. I long for the lack of windows and ever prominent intensive music.
I finally got to record a good friend of mine to play violin for my new track and I was just reminded of how truly happier I am alone in a studio with just people I care about.
Audio Nerd Things...
I recently signed up to Tidal for a 30 day free trial and the difference in sound quality between this service and Spotify is wild. I love it. I don't know if I'll be able to keep this subscription because it's around $25 a month, which is very steep considering the cost of living these days, but man is it worth it.
Even through Bluetooth headphones, which are known audio compressors, the music sounds gorgeous. It even is gorgeous through $20 headphones I've had for about 5 years that I plug into my computer.
I really need a CD player - I'm highly considering shelling out money for that and a pair of wired Panasonic headphones for Christmas. If not Christmas, then definitely for my 26th. I know that CD buying is an expensive hobby but I definitely want to make a transition to owning more physical media - especially as streaming services begin to get more greedy and remove things at will. I think that the death of CD will come back to bite us all in the ass.
Why we all need subtitles now
If you had any doubt about how much of an audio need I am...
This is an example of the best line work in the US. If you got the money (because this kind of work isn't cheap) and the time to wait anywhere between 3 weeks to two months for an appointment, "Honest Bob" @ Golden Rule Tattoo in Uptown Phoenix is the place to go!!
