Third Coast Audio Festival Short Docs

My good friend Ian Davis and I collaborated on these two pieces for the Third Coast Audio Festival Short Doc Competition. Both pieces were featured on PRX Remix.

I conducted the interviews and did preliminary edits; wrote and voiced the scripts; and gathered ambient sounds for the pieces.

Hot Chip- Ready For The Fall

Fuck my feelings today. I've been living in my head since 6:30AM and it's not fun. Too many thoughts not enough time and the only good that came from it was what I came up with for lunch.

Then a cover of this song came of the boob tube and these lyrics stuck out to me:

I am ready, I am ready for a fall

Well slap me twice and call me Bertha...that makes sense. It may not be what they intended but instead of me poking and prodding myself, I say fuck it (is it clear I curse a lot yet?), throw caution to the wind and get ready for the fall.

Ready to fall into something great.

Something marvelous.

Something totally bitchin'
