Ok hi audio rp peoples but specifically scythe

long post!

So like i was recently told that in this (link) audio, at around 18:51, the speaker says, for lack of a better term, the r-slur😭

On its own, this would already be pretty weird imo, but I’ve also been told that this was directed at a fan of his after they sent an ask in the (now dead, rip) audio rp confessions blog about the nsfw c.ai chatbots being made from one of his characters

(disclaimer!!!!! im anti ai and i 100% understand why scythe reacted the way he did to those fuckass chatbots!)

Going off context clues, im guessing that this was the ask in question. Sycthe has me blocked so I can’t see what his response to this specific ask was on tumblr.

However, CALL ME TOO WOKE HERE!!!! BUT CALLING SOMEONE, AND I QUOTE, A “FAT, KEYBOARD HUMPING, FUCK-R SLUR” OVER A BAD TAKE IS JUST A BIT TOO MUCH IMO😭

Again don’t get me wrong, i agree with scythes response to the nsfw chatbots and i think it’s perfectly valid to not want to continue a series over it, but calling someone a slur over it????

I don’t want to get into the logistics of if scythe can reclaim the r slur or not because frankly it’s a waste of my time, but in very simple terms, the definition of reclaim is for a group of people to take back a word that was once used to harm them and use it as their own instead. Using the r slur as an insult wouldn’t be reclaiming it as in this context it’s being using to harm someone😭

Again call me too woke but i just find it really off putting. I’ve made my opinions about scythe known here but like even still, it’s kinda fucked up to call a fan of yours a slur because they made a bad take.

I also find it kinda weird that scythe was essentially vaugeposting in an audio??? Where he’s playing a character???? Like im all for making references and breaking the fourth wall nd whatnot but like it’s just kinda weird to me??? Could very well just be a me thing though
