My original computer's down. Thought I'd look at online DAWs.
Third version of interlude. Similar to version two but not quite. Different lead (farewell chiptunes :'( ), slower, way less drum overload. Some more melodic variety. !
While this is the closest to what will appear on the album, Manny ended up doing a lot of weird crazy sub bass and crowd-noise sampling shit and it sounds almost nothing like this now. Dude knows what he wants though and it IS pretty rad, just in a different way. (I’d share it but it’s not public yet).
Second iteration of the interlude track. And everything changed. New program that I never used before, new song structure, new mood. Still gravitated towards the chiptune type sound of course. I might have ABSOLUTELY gone overboard with the drums but I had fun at least. Still pretty different from what will end up on the album.
(the main melodic parts of all three of these tracks is based on a single arpeggio in the fourth part of the five part, 12 minute final track of the album. fun facts!)
This music is for a special location within Divibe Valley, where various Shamans from ages past have chronicled the wide array of events both big and small throughout the Mushroom Kingdom through their own eyes.
Hopefully in throwing this music together I can get motivated to draw the actual environment sometime soon! xD
The ‘melody’ itself if you can pick it up is actually just a bunch of fragments from some classic mario themes, as well as a few battle themes from the rpg’s near the end ;P

My attempt at music for a hub world! xD
This is the melody that’d be playing in (as the title says) Divibe Valley, which is home to a wide variety of Shaman characters, including the one you see in the album thumbnail there- Mermor! :P

(I apologize for my blog theme cutting off some of the videos in that post though, I’m still searching for a new theme that can hold that sort of content better xP)
OKAY SO DUDES CHECK THIS PROGRAM OUT
It is a 100% free in-browser music creation program called AudioSauna, and is literally the most user-friendly music making program I’ve ever touched. :,D I have ZERO knowledge of making music outside of spitting random melodies out on a piano, so having a program like this where I can just draw/play notes out with my mouse or keyboard and refine them on the fly is soooo cool. There’s a TON of different instruments as well that can all be edited and tweaked for totally different sounds.
Been messing around with this little thing called Audio Sauna http://www.audiosauna.com/ It’s a free app on google chrome that gives you synths and samplers...you guys should totally try it!
