Hi, I'm really sorry to send you an ask as I imagine you are inundated, and realize this may fall by the wayside. However, I thought I should tell you about that Zuckerberg "lizardman" meme, on the chance you didn't know the connection between "lizardmen" and anti-semitism. Again, I am so sorry to bother you, and it may seem like just another trivial meme, but there is a history of racists calling Jewish people "lizardpeople" and spreading such conspiracies. Apologize again for intruding.

This is news to me. Ive always thought of Lizardmen as a conspiracy theory thing that’s just like, so outrageous not a single person with a thumb that works could take it seriously. I’ve also always thought that describing someone as a lizardperson is like “this person is trying real hard to pretend to be human,” which isn’t funny at all, knowing that it has its roots in a disgusting antisemitic slur.

I got about half a dozen asks from people who expressed a similar sentiment, so I want to just make it clear that I find antisemitism reprehensible, and I apologize to anyone who was hurt by my reblog. I will do my best to remember that “lizardmen” has its roots in bigotry, and I will do my best not to reblog stuff like that in the future.
