I think the best thing we got from Wind and Truth was Hoid being a disaster of a boyfriend - like how does he manage to be both clingy and withdrawn? That's what I call a natural talent.

I took an old Hoid doodle and fixed him up a bit! And by “fix up,” I don’t mean I removed the ridiculous outfit 😁 It was also an excuse to mess around with @jennydolfen’s watercolor brushes!

What I find absolutely hilarious in stormlight fics (besides when they use storms as a substitute for fuck) is when Hoid is involved in encounters of a... sexual nature and they characterize him as this suave immortal with thousands upon thousands of years of experience.

But in canon, the dude doesn't even know what to do with his hands when Shallan so much as hugs him bc he literally hasn't had any form of physical affection in millennia!!

And I think this does a huge disservice to the character. Like, where the hell are all my touch starved Hoid fics out there!!!??

He's just a way bigger loser than you guys give him credit for, but that's a conversation for another day.

Cosmere Inktober – 17 Melody Not far from my scene of the trapped prompt, Wit playing for Kaladin and the Story of Fleet. This is another one I did try to do once but abandoned, because I wasn't happy with what I came up. So I am glad I gave it another try. Originally I wanted to give him something like a classic guitar, but then decided to go for a different silhouetted instrument. So I ended with a variation of the saz, a string instrument from Turkey and the Middle East.
