Went for a hike at Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary on the edge of town. It was not the easiest for me because it was steep in places but thankfully there was a metal handrail on the steepest section. There were lots of birds and their songs filled the air. I also saw a couple lizzards and we saw eight or so crows/ravens circling a location on a hilltop- not sure what was up but a carcass would be one explanation. We came across some interesting lichen on rocks. On one rock the lichen was standing up creating a furry rock (see photo). There was a pinyon pine with green cones growing (see photo collage). We also found some ripe prickly pears on the cactus of the same name. #NatureHike #PinyonPine #PricklyPear #AudubonSanctuary #SantaFe #NewMexico #Observations #Birds #Lichen #FuzzyLichen (at Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFTLveKlvRv/?igshid=68df9fvc1ha3
