Some observations on book covers

Edit because apparently this needs to be said: the point of a book cover is to tell you what you're about to read and whether or not you want to read it. Following trends in cover design doesn't mean the book is bad or had a bad cover designer. It's visual communication. I've read and enjoyed about half the books featured here.

In the Japanese version of Deltarune, dialogues in the Light world only use kana (general term for hiragana + katakana.) and no kanji, similar to how Undertale mainly uses kana and little to no kanji. (More on the difference between kana and kanji here.)

However, in Chapter 4, there's a moment where kanji is used in the Light World.

In the Weird route, when Noelle talks to Kris in her room, "Proceed" is written in kanji as "前進", instead of "ぜんしん" (zenshin) as it would be in hiragana.

It's written in the same way as in the Chapter 2 Weird route, making the answer stand out and creating a shock for the Player, who feels that the Weird Route they began in the Dark World is invading the Light World.
