Leofric had smelled a disturbance in the air, and there was that itching pull in the back of his head. Knowing the writers' patterns by now, it would be too late to stop the potential event, but he could at least help pick up some of the pieces.

And so he had followed the trail that his instincts led him down, until he eventually stopped at what looked like an injured stranger. He didn't really feel any surprise to see the state he was in. In fact, he was reminded of William whenever plants touched his skin, forcing away the vampire's glamour on contact.

"I thought as such," the question was a stupid one on his part. But it was one of the most common ones that humans (and humanoid species) seemed to ask one another during a crisis.

Leofric tilted his head a little bit, wondering just what this being really was for a moment, but questioning could wait. His own brown eyes were analytical and he didn't seem at all perturbed by the command to leave.

He might have done the same if he was in a similar position.

"I am a healer," Leofric said after a brief pause. A couple of cautious steps closer, not wanting to add unnecessary distress, "If you would allow me to help you, I can."

Somewhere in the castle, two children chased each other, both giggling as they played through the long hallways and large rooms. Although it worried Carmen not to have his eyes on them-- having children who can teleport (and maybe shapeshift? He isn't sure on the second one just yet) was difficult to manage in the best of times. Let alone in a country where he didn't speak anything but the basics of the language. However, he did trust Apsel and trusted that Violet and Canary could find enough entertainment within these walls that hopefully they wouldn't try and sneak away.

In another part, Carmen walks with Apsel, leisurely smile on his face.

"i'm glad you called me!" He says. "business has been wayyyy down in the states, so if there's a good market over here..."

Carmen isn't exactly sure about moving to a new country, but there could be benefits besides financial ones that he keeps to himself for the time being.

When Russell next catches a shiny Hisuian Zoroark in any of his games with it in, he will name it after Apsel after what he saw of his true form. Hopefully Apsel will not be offended if/when he happens to find out about this.

If Apsel decides to question why Russell didn't seem all that frightened or even that shocked when they first ran into each other, Russell will admit that he lives in a city that seems to be a hotspot for the supernatural, catching his interest.

If Russell introduces Apsel to other games, Apsel would be surprisingly good at games like The Legend of Zelda or even Dark Souls. Russell would be very impressed about that.

If Russell also possibly helps get Apsel a phone and helps him set it up, then he would be calling Russell for some tips if he feels a little stuck here and there. Russell gladly obliges with what he can, although he might call his brother Simon for a bit of extra help. Apsel also appreciates seeing pictures of Misty.

"Oh, ya know..." Arin shrugs a little at the question posed to him, looks down at his drink quietly. There's a smile on his lips, but he knows it's not quite reaching his eyes. He's been tired lately. Things have been busy, life had been a bit of a drag. Not having friends for so long could wear on a person so quickly, especially for someone as sociable as Arin. He's a few drinks at this point, though he's trying not to be too egregious. He likes the taste of alcohol and even more the fuzzy feeling it gives his head. Maybe it's just because he's Irish, but he has a tendency to over drink whenever the opportunity is presented.

A nod when the other lifts his glass, tipping his own in his direction to clink them together. He gives a smile accompanied by a friendly wink before sipping from the glass. One arm rests neatly against the table, fingertips tapping lightly in thought as his gaze drifts to stare out at the beautiful landscape. It really was quite relaxing, spending time in such a secluded place. He was used to the city, sure. Sleeping here was not exactly easy since he'd gotten so used to the noise. But to spend time in the solace throughout the evening was a different thing altogether. He slouches back in his seat, squinting out at the horizon for a moment.

"If 'm honest, it's been rather busy of late," he admits finally, fingertips slowly turning the glass of Beverbach on the table. He doesn't return his gaze to the other, sort of lost in thought. "Not really used t' that. Usually it's pretty slow, not so bad. Manageable. Runnin' it by myself isn't a bother because I enjoy it." He swallows, a sort of sad look reaching his gaze. "I dunno..." he shakes his head, looking down at the whiskey again before taking a sip.

A smirk lifts the corners of his mouth when Apsel mentions needing a break. What starts as a small breath of a chuckle becomes a laugh and he tilts back his head, shaking it slowly. "You know me too well..." He tilts the glass a little, watching the amber liquid slosh around before finishing it off.

"I'm glad you had me come. I think I needed some time away from th' city."

waking up in agony is not as unfamiliar to boone as he’d like it to be.   he’s spent plenty of early mornings ignoring the click-grind of broken bones and the feeling of dried blood flaking off his skin as he drags his beaten body off the forest floor. what he’s not used to, however, is waking up warm, laying on something soft, and most importantly not alone. hazel eyes search the ceiling above his head as he picks through his sleep and pain bogged mind for the details that had led him here, when a voice from across the room startles him into movement.

he jolts upright. a sudden searing pain across his chest and back so overpowering it makes him see stars is his reward for his thoughtlessness, leaving him gasping unsteadily for breath as he regards the speaker with an adrenaline quick gaze.

"So,should we talk about how you just tried to kiss me?"

There was silence as Apsel stared down at the glass tumbler in his hand, filled half-way with amber liquid. It was his usual drink at night. And now it seemed like the most interesting thing in the world. His mistake -- he blamed the whiskey for its ability to make him believe that his actions were acceptable. That, and the cruel way it broke down his defences and uncovered the true side of him that actually liked Vali. A part that constantly longed for his attention, but refused to entertain the idea. But tonight, it proved difficult to ignore the pull of a fae so divine. He was a fool; a stubborn one. "No," he finally answered, tapping the tips of his fingers against the side of the glass in an unknown rhythm. "That was wrong of me." To assume. This game they played was a constant back and forth and there was no winners. "One glass too many, clearly." With a huffed laugh, he smiled bitterly.

Vali's gaze fixed intently upon Apsel, refusing to let up, a sun burning down on Apsel with keen interest. He cock a scarred brow, leaning in just a tiny bit closer. He wasn't about to let Apsel slink away into himself so easily. He knew Apsel wanted him, and yet warred with himself about it constantly. As if admitting his attraction to a fae was some sort of admission of guilt. As if Vali would forcibly tear back the veil of solitude Apsel cloaked himself in.

With a soft sigh and a stretch, Vali leaned in a little closer, pressing the envelope just a little bit, but hopefully not enough to frighten Apsel off. He sprawled his arm against the backrest, his fingers just a few inches from Apsel's neck. He inhaled Apsel's scent, earthy and clean, tinged with the sharpness of fine whiskey. They both faintly smelled like whiskey, as Apsel was so kind as to share. Vali really appreciated the way one's pheromone pattern changed and morphed with the circumstance, committed all of it to memory. He wanted desperately to melt against him, give the affection the two of them were obviously craving, but he held back. For now.

"That's a shame," Vali said, the dejection in his tone a teasing ploy to draw Apsel back in. "I think I would enjoy it." I only hope you would too.
