Leofric nodded, agreeing with Spice that yes, even if Bill never liked to admit that he had needs and emotions outside of being a jovial old man, he was indeed glad to have company. It would most likely be even better once Rook realised that Bill himself wasn't so mundane.
Leofric stretched out his free arm and his legs as he stood. As always, his body felt like wearing a suit that was too tight; another part of the curse. But he lived with it, it would feel better soon enough.
It seemed that Galahad decided that he wanted to assist his trainer on realising that he was getting up and speaking, for he turned to the other Pokemon and cawed, before informing that the food was most likely nearly ready.
"Sadly, it isn't," Bill said, "But hey, you learn to adapt, co-exist with a condition like that. Find ways to get around it, and yeah, it's a pain in the ass sometimes, or on my skin if I end up in the sun by accident, but I'm alive, and I'm doing pretty well otherwise. I like to believe so anyway."
He chuckled a little bit.
"I heard in some of those areas, you need special goggles to get through it, or else you can't see," Bill said, "And it's hard to get hold of them too."
But maybe the ash would also be a good buffer against the direct sunlight. If not, Bill could do what he always did when travelling; seek shelter in the day and move forward by night.
"I, I can help with, with that," Russell said. At least then, he would be out of the way while Rook and Bill did the work to get the meal finished and dished out, and not crowding the place further, "Heh, two, two people is, is bet-better than one, as, as they, as they say."
"Oh everyone will be able to fit in my lovely dining room and even on my veranda with no problem," Bill said, "But if anyone fancies the al fresco experience, eating in the garden is not out of the question either. Of course they aren't, Rook. But there are a lot of us to be fair when we include our teams."
Russell's cheeks turned a little bit pink at that. He never liked the idea of taking more than he might have needed, especially at a time like this. But he also knew better than to disagree with that notion out loud.
"Heh, as, as long as you, as you, you leave enough for, for your-yourselves as well," Russell replied, hoping that that sounded somewhat funny at the very least. But then he smiled at seeing the happy reunion between the four. That was always a heart-warming display.
Divine also looked delighted, and Bill's eyes had lit up at the sight as well. It appeared that they were also rather pleased about this turn of events. Divine also agreed with Fae, letting her know that she had called them twinsies herself.
She also gave a small wave in the air as she floated, saying that it was nice to meet Fae as well, and her friends too. Bill did laugh a little bit at the idea of the rooms becoming spookier. Erica made that sound hilarious.
"I'll have to look forward to seeing his handiwork," Bill said, "I just hope he won't miss out on dinner. I know how it can be to get really invested in your work that you forget to do other things. I'll have to remember to take a look. I'm glad you like the rooms though. I will admit, I had been playing a bit too much Pokemon Crossing at the time and it got me on this interior design kick."
Divine gave Erica and Willow a knowing look when Bill said that. But she did look a little bit coy at the compliments, before saying that it was wonderful to meet Fae as welll.
"Oh she loves her compliments," Bill said, "Then again, who doesn't? I think we all love getting a bit of praise every now and then. But that's fair, Rook. There will be a lot more time to mingle during and after dinner."
"Heh, I, I should pro-probably go, go and help," Russell said sheepishly, as he made a move to head out, "Heh, I uh, I got a bit, a bit caught up in, in the moment. My, my bad."
"Nah, don't you worry," Bill said, "If anything, Leofric's probably gotten everyone's attention already, and I do think I can actually hear Galahad cawing, which would most likely help. Good bird, that one."
