i dont know if you still take prompts for floreleine but would you consider writing about them being in a relationship already but then one of them started to pull back from the other because they received threats that they're loved ones would get hurt. (your choice on what they're being threatened for). angst with a happy ending <3

Hi, yes I am! I tried to write sth short to this - I think it would be better suited for a longfic, but I just take shortfic prompts bc I don't have the time, so this turned out a rather vague oneshot, hope you still like it, anon!

General vibe of exhaustion probably due to myself having woken up at 4! am!!! Today to hit the road early and avoid traffic (actual 4am, which still feels like 12 midnight to me, so like... twice jetlagged, kmn), and I just had to pass on the vibes to Madeleine.

(also my autocorrect Keeps editing Madeleine to Modeling, lmk if I missed any lmao)

I'm guessing this fic is around 1k words long, rated G or T for Trauma, no warnings

"Madeleine?!"

Madeleine gasps as she hears Florence's voice, then flinches when a hand grasps her elbow and helps her up as she staggers to her feet.

"Fuck, Madeleine, what the fuck?" Florence says aghast as she takes in her ruffled appearance, and, before Madeleine can even reply: "Alright, you are coming with me - and yes, I know you want nothing to do with me anymore, but you will bloody well let me patch you up!"

She sounds a little choked as she notes that Madeleine wants to have nothing to do with her, and Madeleine wants to tell her that she is wrong, that it was only so she wouldn't get dragged into this mess that Madeleine is in the middle of - wants to ask what Florence is doing here now despite them having broken things off - despite her breaking Florence's heart, and her own heart as well in the process - but it is all too much, and she is tired and hurting and all she can do is sob as Florence drags her outside and into the car, giving her water and checking her over for obvious injuries before she buckles her into the front seat and starts the car.

She drives them back to the city, to the library, and Madeleine doesn't protest or give alternative instructions.

Florence stubborny stares ahead, and Madeleine leans her forehead against the cool glass of the car window and feels tears in her eyes, blurring her sight as the lights of other cars and reflecting street signs pass them by in the dark.

"Are you alright?" Florence finally asks when they have driven for a while, Madeleine can't tell how long. Her voice is rough and like she wants to appear unaffected and cold, but Madeleine can still tell that she is really concerned.

Not daring to turn around, Madeleine keeps her forehead pressed against the glass and squeezes her eyes shut to keep in the tears, but she can't suppress a shudder as a sob threatens to break free.

"Madeleine?" Florence asks, her voice quiet, almost hesitant.

At that, Madeleine breaks, quietly crying against the window, overwhelmed at having Florence with her again, still caring for her.

She hopes against hope that she will be able to fix this somehow and too exhausted to even know where to start.

Madeleine doesn't know when Florence left the main street, but then the car stops and Florence opens her door, a moment later she is at Madeleine's side of the vehicle, pulling her into her arms.

She lets herself fall apart, lets Florence pull her into her arms and her familiar smell and the feeling of her arms around her comfort her as her tears keep falling.

It's over. The threat taken out, and she survived against all odds, and Florence is alright, she managed to keep her out of it, and now they are together again - and she knows they need to talk, about everything, and Florence will most likely be angry at her...

But with how she is holding her close, without judgement, without expectations, Madeleine dares to hope that they are going to be alright.

Might expand on this if I post it to ao3 some day, for now the one-shot is all :) if someone else wants to write a proper fic with plot and all, feel free and pls lmk so I can read it! <3

Reaching out with her free hand, Madeleine strokes over Florence’s cheek, quite the way Florence had touched her earlier. Then, she leans in, slow enough for Florence to back away if she really wants to, but she doesn’t, and –

“Has anyone seen the damn – oh." Anna May takes one look at them and grins. "Carry on, then.”

This is VERY premature but maybe it's the PoC in me that can't help feeling like NH3 is gonna be an(other) American-Pop (hopefully rock-leaning too) album injected with Anglo-Irish (sad?)white-boy ballads.. a PoC music-composer/director/producer is what -I say- would be truly exciting..

"Aww, I missed out on a Voy rewatch? Damn," Andy replies. "I would have loved to watch that again, but somehow I can never make myself rewatch any of the old shows when it's just me...:"

Now Quynh is disappointed, too - she would have loved to watch the series with Andy.

"But - I'd still like to watch some episodes of Disco with you, if you want to have a movie night?" Andy asks a little tentativly when she notices Quynh's expression.

"Yeah! I mean - yes, sure! And we don't need to watch Discovery, I know it's not your favorite show..."

"Naw, the first season is fine enough, I think" Andy replies with a smile. "And I've only watched it the once - might be nice to see it again before the new episodes come out."
