If you haven't been able to pay rent for your home, what plans have you made to relocate? In NC when a landlord files for an eviction, you must first receive a Notice to Quit or Vacate 10 days before the complaint is filed along with the summary ejectment. This is the case if your lease requires it. Unfortunately, if your lease waives notice the 10 days do not apply. Your court date is within 14 days on average once filed. Once a landlord is granted judgement, they can file the Writ within 10 days the earliest. You will have to vacate the property with or without your personal property within 7 days. The landlord has to give you 10 days to retrieve any of your personal property just once within this time frame during hours they can agree upon. Please like, comment, and share.
