First impression of the Outer Worlds 2 is practically shining, to say the least. I’m getting much better vibes mechanics-wise than I did 1, as has been said ad nauseam by the rest of the internet, lol.

My Commander, Diana, is a Capital-S-Suave Gambler whose hand got cut off in a game gone wrong. (In reality I hadn’t even noticed after building off the preset I picked that she had a prosthetic. It wasn’t the one I would choose, but it still gives a fun layer to her character.)

Im trying to go for an ice-cold femme fatale vibe with her, which is a little hard to do when most of the witty responses are cheeky as opposed to “layered,” but I’m having fun (and should have expected that with an Obsidian game). Usually my first-playthrough characters are just facsimiles of myself, but this time I’m going for a more roleplay-write-as-you-go type run.
