I'm almost finished watching "House of Guinness." I like it, but am I the only one who finds the storyline for the female characters' lacklustre?

A lot of things are happening, but they feel half baked.

Steven Knight just has a weird way of writing women.

Ok ok 48hrs of none stop thinking and the lovely people who gave me more hope and fab theories later heres my wish:

I hope Marian Elopes with Larry.

Because it ties back with season one in that she knows she has to follow her heart. But unlike the first go around no she’s smarter about it, wiser in her choice and reality.

If season one was the down fall of Marian the idealist and season two the arch of Marian the conventionalist then let her next step be that of the woman she has become.

Also Larry Russell is the man tbh. I adore a confident king I mean the man is advocating for the engineer lady to get her due, mean while our dude Dashel is dissing Marian’s career 😒 shmeh

And since I’m wishing all my wishes here plsplspls let the elopement not land well with the families. Let Mrs Russel loose her head and kick the couple out, let her make her husband cut Larry off. I want to see them struggle I want to see them build a life and rise and Larry to work harder than ever and for Marian to realize that they do need society and connections and for her rely on her name to climb back into society this time with purpose and to help her husband land big contracts. I want to watch them build and empire!

Also can we have aunt Agnes please be the one to bring back Marian and Larry into the fold, before Ms Russell? To support them and help them when it really matters! Like I know aunt Agnes is the queen of shade but remember she knows what’s it like to be without money to have nothing but a name. And as much as she can be cutting we know this lady has her families back! And As Marian starts to take on society Agnes is there to teach her how to be a real player. (If Oscar hasn’t lost all their money)

Where did Aunt Ada live?

In the series, it is mentioned that Ada has lived with Agnes since the death of Agnes’ husband, 10 years before the plot of gilded age start. But where did she live before that? Has it been mentioned? Because Marian didn’t know her, so Ada can’t have lived with Marian’s family even though it should have been Henry’s job to take care of her as her brother. Did Agnes or Henry give her an allowance so she could live by herself? I must knoooow

Only three episodes left in The Gilded Age season 2, folks. Larry and Marian went for a lovely walk. I have a feeling cousin Dashell is gonna propose to Marian (ITS SUPPOSED TO BE YOU LARRY). I love how they also show the servents in the show, I'm very happy that they discovered crazy lady's schemes and stopped them. I'm also very happy that Aunt Agnes decided to go to her sisters Wedding.

I'm hoping that Gladys will have her happy ending, and not how Conseulo Vanderbilt. (The Russell are based on the Vanderbilts).

I really wanna see more of newport mansions in the series, especially The Breakers. If they can show the Elms, why can't they do the Breakers?
