Underrated Hate Sink: Aunt Roji
Though most of these hate sinks you would have heard of in the fandom, this one is more obscure if you know about Robin’s history. She only had tidbits of focus, but she really grinds my gears in those few seconds of spotlight she has.Even though Robin’s life after she was targeted was horrid, her life before wasn’t anything easier. In addition to being bullied, she also was abused by her uncle’s wife.
She thought little of Robin and even threatened to spank her when she was two just because she was crying for her mother. She treated the young girl as a servant by forcing her to do all the chores and gave her swat to eat, while still having the nerve to say that she was a freeloader.
I wouldn’t be surprised she made her husband leave Robin and denied she was connected in anyway to Olivia and her to save herself and her family’s skin. Although Akainu’s attack on the ship was appalling and uncalled for, I really do not miss this woman’s absence due to how she treated her own niece.
