A very happy spoopy season from the Season Sisters to you!
I was very ambitious two Thursday nights ago when I drafted this post, I was like. I'M GONNA GET ALL FOUR DRAWINGS DONE. We'll see how it goes! And then Sam killed Brennan so hard with the shirt that the cr episode ended at a Reasonable Bedtime and I only got done the sketches for Summer and Spring (Autumn was sketched earlier in the week :)
This past Thursday night, I managed to get the other sketches done and inked and have SLOWLY been colouring them throughout the week and FINALLY. LO! SPOOPY SCARY SEASON SISTERS BE UPON YE!
...well, not too spoopy lmao.
All four doodles are based off of some vintage greeting cards:
I saw that first one, and was IMMEDIATELY like "Autumn needs to be in this YESTERDAY. STAT." Then the blue one came up and like, Winter vibes, right? RIGHT? ESPESH with ye olde Halloween myth, about seeing your true love in the mirror. AND I've managed to draw a decent Blaise in the mirror, FUCK YEAH! (I'm hoping to show the follow up to that particular art one day lmao, which is Blaise in his costume for this year urging Winter to change into hers >:) And hopefully I can include the Twins too! Hehe.)
After that I was keeping my EYES PEELED for a Spring and Summer one, and the bottom two were my faves. I was torn between who to draw in what, but settled on Spring in the starry dress bc it's more Spring vibes, and I could take a lot more creative liberty with the blue and orange one for Summer who is a very flowy clothes kinda sprite, huehue.
Summer gave me trouble, tbh! Posing her was hard bc I could not for the LIFE OF ME get the angle right. I also wanted to adjust the pose a bit to be more Summer-y lmao. She is WAY more energetic/expressive than the nice stiff witch in the inspiration card would suggest! And then since she and Spring were on brooms, I gave them backgrounds lol. fun fact: the backgrounds made the png WAY BIGGER than tumblr could handle, so I had to jpeg them and post those instead, lmao.
Autumn and Winter are actually both on the same page as the other two, and very squished bc of all the broom space needed, so idk if I'll background them but hey! I saved the sketches and maybe I can dip back into digital one day--we'll see :)
Winter's card actually references an old Halloween myth, where if you look in the mirror at midnight, you'd see your true love/the person you are destined to be with! We do all be knowing it's Blaise, hehe. I'm obSESSED with the way those two are looking at each other, for real for REAL. NO IDEA how I managed that but glad I did!
Anyway, if you dig vintage greeting cards and don't mind terrible humour, would highly recommend following weirdchristmas for a healthy dose of vintage greeting cards :) (that's where these came from!)

The jacket is one of those short crop faux leather jackets; she wears it unzipped always (zipper may be broken), and under it she has a light blue lulu lemon sweater, complete with sleeves that are also fingerless gloves

She either exploded something, had a bit of a rage induced fight, or literally exploded. Idk how. But obviously she's fine now lmao.
Idk what Blossom wears? In my head she is WAY smaller and has just a double belt thing for her batons and an easter lily. I think maybe if she DOES wear clothes, she's an overalls kinda gal. Bun. I'll think on that lmao.

And the weather since March here, which has been roughly as follows:
absolutely fucking FREEZING COLD Friday into Saturday (March 1st)
Warmed up Saturday into Sunday (March 1st into the 2nd)
Beautiful, sunny, windows open kind of day (the Canadian kind of windows open of course, it was like. 3 degrees celsius)
S N O W S T O R M Sunday into Monday
Monday was gorgeous, sunny, AND snowy in the evening, but mild throughout! (March 3rd)
Tuesday (March 4th) was much the same, another windows open day too!
Everything started MELTING and on Wednesday (March 5th) it SHAT RAIN. PROPER RAINSTORM. LOTS OF RAIN. LOTS OF MELTING. FLOODING BC SNOWBANKS ARE COVERING THE DRAINS
And then on Thursday: FLASH FREEZE
Which then turned into YET ANOTHER SNOW SYSTEM
with SURPRISE ICE underneath due to the aforementioned FLASH FREEZE
This was March 6th.
March 7th (Friday) (Yesterday) started out with a SUN SHOWER. BUT NO, NOT A RAINY ONE: A SNOWY ONE
A gorgeous one too! I'm talking BIG, FAT FLAKES!! Like, Hallmark WISHES they could kind of snow lmao
Then it stopped and the sun came out and even though it stayed cold, the wind picked up and smelt like Spring
anddddd then on the way home it got a wee bit CHILLIER
So it's been a mess and all I could think when I got in on Thursday was "jfc Winter's going ham. Spring must be MAD pissed" and then after a slightly unhinged attempt to recollect bane vs pinkman (I kept thinking of the guy in the yellow fit like that making a scrunge face and hoarding something a la gollum, and am now convinced I hallucinated that particular image) I made this >:)
Spring angy. So angy she's getting a bit runny! Winter is having a ball of a time with it all and is already planning a brilliant birthday gift for Spring (we'll have to see what April's weather brings!)

I've decided she has a pet baby lamb named Tuffet bc A) they're (bb lambs that is) cute and B) I thought it'd be fun lmao. He just appeared at her cottage one day and did not leave, and also did not grow, and so she named him Tuffet and now they are besties. Every year she tries to sick him on Winter, and he proceeds to do not that because. He is a baby. Spring thinks he's doing amazing anyway.

I already put the Tuffet info above, lol. I just got really excited about it. Baby lambs are so fucking cute? What the fuck 😍😍😍😍😍
Spring loves flowers. She'll put that shit on anything—her baby lamb friend, her sisters, her nibblets, her great-nibblets, her fellow legates, her brother-in-law, the legends if she can sneak close enough
And she is NOT very good at sneaky. That's Autumn's forté!
(She would also put flowers on her BIL's twin. She would succeed because Winter would be glaring at him the entire time and he does not fuck with Winter).
Was a walking shrub before gaining form (will see in May in The Call part 2) and that's why her hair just stays like that
She CAN elementally charge it! And make it watery! And changes the flowers growing to reflect that—hence why it's down and long in #3. It's water, and probably runs reddish!
(Like iron enriched water, though I'm sure she can do blues—it's just more fun to have it be red >:)

She's fairly round in terms of hair and head! Her hair itself seems to have evolved from like, short haired sims 2 cc elevator cut with some wispy curls sticking out to Pink Diamond adjacent, or perhaps, cloud shaped, or maybe, flower shaped!
She's really fond of campy stuff, I've learnt. Apparently her favourite ordibeing restaurant is Rainforest Cafe (more on that later this week, I hope!)
As much as she hates shoulder season with Winter, she is very fond of the way things look after they freeze.
Winter uses this to her advantage when she pulls THIS KINDA SHIT in spring!
(As of drafting this post Sunday night. It was raining still. And ice is falling. And things still look decently frozen. It's supposed to be 12 whole ass degrees tomorrow though!)
She is so small and short and cute, I want to squish her guys. She's been so fun to draw the past week/weekend!

I guess? I've SORT OF started the to-draw tag adventure? I actually have stuff from the very first to draw pages all sketched out! I haven't had time to colour them/line them, and accidentally did them back to back so NOW I can't use my MARKERS or it'll bleed through and I'm kinda proud of those particular doodles, lol! Don't wanna ruin EITHER SET. The twins look much better than the Cold Front, admittedly. Their pose was more dynamic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've got one more set for those I wanted to add as well, I just haven't gotten around to it. Thursday night used to be doodle time but alas, Critical Role finished and now I find myself having to more actively make time for doodles. (Which, I'm doing! Progress is slow, but husbando is a sweetie who reminds me that me time is necessary and he's fine).
GOD it's SO FUN being able to draw your SILLY LITTLE GUYS FROM YOUR HEAD 🥰🥰🥰🥰 100/10, WOULD recommend!
