Had this one saved (complete with subtitle!!) since witchy Spring number two, lol. Inspired by another LaceMade dress:

The dress was giving Winter and the pose looked fun 🤭 spoiler alert: it WAS fun!!!!

Goals for the next art year: get better at feet/shoes. I'm starting to get the hang of it but the sizing and perception is hard. Shoes/feet and perspective, lol. That first cs scrimbly gave me one HELL of a TIME! BUT HEY! practise makes perfect--and it's been FUN lol

Lots of snow this month, eh? I'm enjoying it, but then again. I am a winter lover ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A very happy spoopy season from the Season Sisters to you!

I was very ambitious two Thursday nights ago when I drafted this post, I was like. I'M GONNA GET ALL FOUR DRAWINGS DONE. We'll see how it goes! And then Sam killed Brennan so hard with the shirt that the cr episode ended at a Reasonable Bedtime and I only got done the sketches for Summer and Spring (Autumn was sketched earlier in the week :)

This past Thursday night, I managed to get the other sketches done and inked and have SLOWLY been colouring them throughout the week and FINALLY. LO! SPOOPY SCARY SEASON SISTERS BE UPON YE!

...well, not too spoopy lmao.

All four doodles are based off of some vintage greeting cards:

I saw that first one, and was IMMEDIATELY like "Autumn needs to be in this YESTERDAY. STAT." Then the blue one came up and like, Winter vibes, right? RIGHT? ESPESH with ye olde Halloween myth, about seeing your true love in the mirror. AND I've managed to draw a decent Blaise in the mirror, FUCK YEAH! (I'm hoping to show the follow up to that particular art one day lmao, which is Blaise in his costume for this year urging Winter to change into hers >:) And hopefully I can include the Twins too! Hehe.)

After that I was keeping my EYES PEELED for a Spring and Summer one, and the bottom two were my faves. I was torn between who to draw in what, but settled on Spring in the starry dress bc it's more Spring vibes, and I could take a lot more creative liberty with the blue and orange one for Summer who is a very flowy clothes kinda sprite, huehue.

Summer gave me trouble, tbh! Posing her was hard bc I could not for the LIFE OF ME get the angle right. I also wanted to adjust the pose a bit to be more Summer-y lmao. She is WAY more energetic/expressive than the nice stiff witch in the inspiration card would suggest! And then since she and Spring were on brooms, I gave them backgrounds lol. fun fact: the backgrounds made the png WAY BIGGER than tumblr could handle, so I had to jpeg them and post those instead, lmao.

Autumn and Winter are actually both on the same page as the other two, and very squished bc of all the broom space needed, so idk if I'll background them but hey! I saved the sketches and maybe I can dip back into digital one day--we'll see :)

Winter's card actually references an old Halloween myth, where if you look in the mirror at midnight, you'd see your true love/the person you are destined to be with! We do all be knowing it's Blaise, hehe. I'm obSESSED with the way those two are looking at each other, for real for REAL. NO IDEA how I managed that but glad I did!

Anyway, if you dig vintage greeting cards and don't mind terrible humour, would highly recommend following weirdchristmas for a healthy dose of vintage greeting cards :) (that's where these came from!)

can’t explain it but I fully believe that Cody didn’t start their piercing journey with their ears like most do. in fact, I think they prolly started with their septum. why? they thought it would look the coolest, obviously.

bonus: momma winter got a fake one the same day she took Cody to get theirs done and Cody had to hear all week how “yeah, they were a wimp but I took it like a champ” said lovingly of course, because that’s her sweet baby bean

—her name is Susan but she goes by Susie Bird because she sings to them and they come.

—makes the meanest sweet tea you’ll ever try but don’t add more sugar, you’ll actually die.

—has seven sisters. yes five of them were total accidents. yes she was one of them. it’s fine.

—made Cody and Cameron hold hands for an entire day when they were 6. didn’t go well.

—once duct-taped Cameron to her kitchen wall for having a smart mouth. sis was not happy.
