A purple motorbike growled into the parking lot, a matching helmet coming off to reveal a tumble of amethyst locks framing bright green eyes. Mal hated being the new kid but her mother was the head of a billion dollar company so she didn’t exactly have much say in the matter. Maleficent owned and ran Moores Inc. which meant she travelled around the country meeting with new scientists and companies to discuss business or run her various branches, the whole time dragging Mal from city to city, never staying int he one place longer than she had to.
Moving around so much Mal had forged her own code to make the whole thing easier. The first rule was ‘No Friends’, if you had no friends there was no one to say goodbye to. The second rule was to not care, she played it cool and aloof and did her best to make people stay out of her way. The final rule was no clubs or sports. Follow that and it made one place blend into the next and she could almost allow herself to believe she’d been in the one place the whole time.
One of the perks of having a mother who ran her own company was a wardrobe full of designer motorcycle leathers, all in Mal’s favourite colours, purple and green. Checking her papers one last time she walked into the school, heeled boots clicking against the linoleum. The last rule was ‘always look like you know what you were doing’ even if you had no idea where you were going. Mal was so focused on looking confident that she didn’t see the guy step backwards, the purple-haired girl colliding right into him.
