Notes

All of us are rather busy, and so this blog will likely not be too active and asks will take a bit to answer depending on who you are directed it at. Echo is the most active of the mods if you want to ask them anything and get a somewhat quick response! On that note, if you ask something that applies to all the mods, a response will likely take much longer.

Roleplay formatting will be similar to that of a play. Roleplaying will be done by the owner of the character. Notably, Stellis and Edio will be roleplayed by Echo, Cerulean will be roleplayed by Jet, and Marigold will be roleplayed by Aure. The gods have their own text colors as well; Stellis is purple, Cerulean is blue, Marigold is red, and Edio is orange.

Aure tends to speak formally in situations like this; please don’t be scared of me! I’m not as fancy as I may seem and would love to have a normal conversation with you :)

Rules

All PG-13 and non-hateful interactions are welcome and greatly appreciated! This includes other roleplay blogs from any world. Fanart is also welcome. We request that you do not make any OCs of these species or in this world without first reaching out to one of the mods- this ensures we can get you the necessary information to do so.

Only ship canon relationships- you can ask us about others, but it’s likely we’ll say no. Do not ship the gods. The Gods all parts of the same being and have sibling-like relationships.

Like all vessels, Chip and Quis are agender (the label nonbinary is also okay) and use they/it pronouns. They are also both aroace, in a way that they feel no attraction of any kind.

Chip is fully capable of thought and emotion, and can make small squeaks and other similar noises. They communicate primarily through sign language and body language.

Quis is capable of thinking, but is limited to factual statements. For example, they cannot think about what they “want” but they can use logic to decide what would be “best”. They communicate… telepathically? Not exactly, but other bugs are always able to figure out what they’re thinking.

Chip was able to climb and leave the Abyss soon after Ghost (The Knight) opened it via the King’s Brand. They were able to find their way into Deepnest, and there was attacked by Nosk, though Quis was able to save them. Chip is also very good at climbing despite not having any climbing gear (like Mantis Claw, they don’t have that..they’re just built different)

Quis left the Abyss before Chip. It found Hornet outside, who dubbed them “Inquisitive One” and offered them a scarf. They explored Ancient Basin for a while. As the tram was locked, they crossed the tram wire (things idk) to Deepnest. Quis also spent much time there, before finding Chip and following them to Nosk’s lair. Quis’s lifeblood butterfly (lifeblooderfly), Ki, joined them at some point along the way, and now follows them and offers lifeblood energy.

Chapter 1 is coming out soon (we’ll have a date within a day or so), and very excited :)

In the first volume, there are a lot of scenes in dark places. I was wondering what your preferences are for that?

How much contrast is worth it?

Make it as dark as it canonically is, I don’t care if it’s hard to see

Less dark that normal, but keep it somewhat accurate

Please make it high contrast

Screeeeeee! All your support and excitement genuinely means so much, I never imagined the comic would find this many people with THE PROLOGUE??? Dude that’s so cool

I will say that, especially with posts relating to projects like the comic, I do tend to be more formal. Sorry about that! Don’t be scared of me ;w;

In case you haven’t seen, Echo has started putting together some masterposts (one for the whole comic and one for the first volume), and we’re hoping to release Chapter I: Conception mid-January! :D
