"Sulu!" He almost sounds happy. Twelve hours, fifteen minutes. Death is coming. "How..." Eyelids cover electric blue, and his throat contracts to swallow. Pain. Pain that cannon be cured. "How are your plants?" The first thing that comes to mind, a conversation starter. His voice an octave higher, almost fake in it's happiness.
He opened his mouth to speak but a pause caught him first. There had always been a joking tone between the crew but this was far off their mark. Even by Jim’s standards. An immediate sense of unease washed over the helmsman.

He literally has a name for every single one of his plants. He says he doesn’t, but he’s lying. The first two he named were after his sisters.

Because Alli talked me into it.
Actually, I wanted to make a Sulu account after Into Darkness came out but I was still sitting on the edge of the Star Trek fandom. So a few months later, Alli makes Scotty and I gave in from there.
