Dylan was... eager-- to see the new curse breaker who’d come to Halloweentown. His grandmother had all too excitedly mentioned that his former pen pal had accepted a contract for the city to work there for the time being. The warlock hadn’t seen his friend since their brief time together after graduating-- over ten years prior.

Seeing him again was sure to bring back memories.

James was from a very well known English family-- with a noble history to rival that of the Cromwell clan. But what was most important was that like Dylan-- James had some mortal blood running through him.

He understood the importance of finding that balance.

He searched through the crowd of faces in the colorful town square-- hoping to see some telltale sign of his roguish friend. Part of him wondered if James would even recognize him without his glasses.

MISC:  i really don’t think i can summarize this series well enough in just a little blip?  on the surface it’s your basic police state vs gun wielding bad ass, but it’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t seen it. it deals with politics, fetisism, scientism, human morality, and even old school gnostic symbolism where she’s implied to be a fallen angel. her backstory is pretty much nonexistent, but you really get the sense that this is someone who’s given up everything to the cause, and she never complains about it or wastes time feeling sorry for herself. every action she takes  ( good or bad )  is  always  on her own terms, and that’s amazing. i love aeon to death, and she’s also different from the sort of characters i usually play; it’d be nice getting a chance to write  sinnamon  instead of a cinnamon for once.

          “ i don’t really hate him. ” but how could she? he was her BROTHER, after all. they were bonded by more than just blood. still, when they fought ( which was ALL THE TIME ) it was like the world was on fire. luckily, they had him. james was always the intermediary, the peacemaker. what would they be without him? they’d probably be pulling each other’s hair by now. “ he just really gets on my nerves. why can’t he be more like you? ” she complained, bitting her lip. james was never mean to her like albus was. he was the one who listened to her the most, who understood her and treated her well. how she WISHED it was the same with albus. she was tired of fighting, surely james was tired himself – but albus? oh, he’d NEVER get tired of picking on her. she knew that perfectly well.
