Reunion - Chapter 7
“And then he asked for my number, can you believe that?” Gale grumbled, taking a sip from the mug of tea Wyll had just given him. “Oh, that’s good tea,” he added, distracted by the sweet cinnamon notes slipping over his tongue.
“Believe what?” That was Karlach, padding her way into the kitchen barefoot, wearing a pair of furry pajama pants with little white dogs all over them and a black tank top.
“Astarion asked Gale for his number,” Wyll sighed, rolling his eyes. “The feud continues.”
“Oh, for gods’ sake,” Karlach said, tossing her giant frame onto one of the kitchen barstools, which creaked slightly under her enthusiasm. “Gale, mate. You two need to talk to each other. This is painful to watch.”
Gale busied himself with toying with the label of the tea bag, which was draped over the edge of the mug. “I know,” he finally said, slumping down in the chair. “I just - I don’t think this is fixable, Karlach.”
