"... Why do I suddenly feel uncomfortable?"
Really wanted to show off the details on this a bit more. So I saved the file after adding transparency levels to most of the 10 layers (just the lineart).
Two layers I left mostly Opaque, those being the layer where I drew the horns on Auri's head, and the one with the claws and partial Sun detailing.
I feel like I should bring the sun detail down into the lower part of the leg armor, because it feels pretty blank and bland to me. But I was hoping for some opinions on that before I continue.
Anyway, this update was mostly to show off the claws and the added horns, since the claws are hard to notice with the scaled armor piece behind them when everything is fully opaque.
There is a wrapped package lying on her bed, a note atop it. "I'm sorry I can't give this to you in person. Something came up, but I hope you like it. ~Auri-El" Inside the package is a greatsword, the blade gleams brighter than any metal known to man. The edges are hairline sharp, and an intricate pattern of lines are etched into the flat of the blade. The grip is wire-wrapped in silver, and a large diamond makes up the pommel. The guard is shaped like a dragon's wings. (2 lazy 2 switch account)
Lydia raised a hand over her lips as she beheld the blade, tears forming in her eyes, though she blinked them quickly away. With a deep breath Lydia took a seat on the bed beside the sword, lightly tracing the hilt and beautiful etchings that lined the blade as her heart ached for her love.
*pushes Allryn* (Idk what Auri is doing anymore...)
The mage stared at the goddess with a bland expression. "You know. I had high hopes for the Spirits then I met Lorkhan and you are very much so not helping the case."
//-chuckles darkly as that dying-in-their-sleep headcanon thing she reblogged from her personal dash makes the rounds-
-thinks about her Ond ship-
-very slowly falls over-
//If Lydia married Auri-El would that make her Alduin's step mom
???
//In nearly every/any relationship, Lydia is pretty dang secure and rarely has feelings of 'oh I don't deserve this.'
She knows she's great and if someone'll take her well
She's going to stick it out until there's some reason not to
The only ships so far where she's felt inadequate are Auri-El and Elenwen.
Auri-El 'cause.. well jfc it's a God
and Elenwen 'cause.. I could probably write a book about Lydia's fucked up feelings about Elenwen but HONESTLY a lot of the value she sees in Elenwen is stuff Lydia has imposed on her- she feels not good enough because she wants to be with someone she's not good enough for. So she puts Elle up on this freakin' mountain shrine in the heavens, allowing her to both A) be like "Hey look at this precious thing that is MINE" and B) Be like "I suck I don't deserve you (please tell me how much you want me to make me feel better)"
"Where are my clothes?" (OMG AURI)
Rolling over to face the god, she propped herself up on her elbow, eye’s trailing over his seemingly immaculate features closely. “..You’re leaving, already?” Elenwen asked softly, although she supposed it wasn’t too common the appeal to stay was stronger than that to leave. “You are certainly welcome to stay—that is, if you wish.”
