Protagonist Portrait

Where we are actually meeting a protagonist this time!

This character isn’t one I think of a lot, but I still like her. Drawing her here and writing about her for this has made me really excited to work on her story more.

Without further ado…

Meet Aurora Hallow

Pronouns: (She/Her)

Story: A Light in the Darkness

Bio:

Aurora Hallow is a scholar who was shunned by her family. On the night she was finally kicked out, she was attacked by a group of vampires. In a panic, Aurora grabbed an old lantern and uncovered it to try and see her attackers. The light that came from the lantern was blinding and reduced the vampires to ashes in seconds. When Aurora recovers, she is approached by another vampire named Orion. Orion sees the state Aurora is in and offers her a place to stay while she gets back on her feet. Aurora accepts his offer. At Orion’s manor, Aurora decides to research this new supernatural world that she has discovered. During her research, she discovers two things.

1.) The old lantern that saved her life has a piece of the sun inside of it.

And 2.) There are several forces that want the lantern for their own gain, and they’ll do anything to get it.

Author/Artist Commentary:

TL;DR- Sometimes you just wanna write a good old fashioned vampire romance. And that’s what this is. The scholarly Aurora and the himbo Orion fall in love. (And maybe defeat a few cultists along the way)

Originally, Aurora’s color scheme was a lot more yellow, but I played around with green in this portrait and I think I like it.
