so i sat and thought for a little bit about my lore, and after many rough ideas, i have one massive rough idea for the aurora union
the oasis and the temple are jointly called the aurora union, but dragons who live in the union just refer to each place as the oasis or the temple
the oasis houses retired dragons, war vets to be specific. it also doubles as a healing and recovery center for the active dragons who live in the temple, and the temple is home to a wide variety of dragons, mages, a host of angels, warriors, and soon to be a troupe of robin hoods merrymen
my clan isnt a city like most places are, its locked away and hidden within the jungles of nature flight’s territory, and you need a special escort from the inside to even find the union, let alone get inside
the oasis is also home to an elite faction of warriors called the guard union (name will more then likey be changed if i can find a better suiting name) whos skill can be better used outside of the temple, called the guard union. its run by mirah, my clans queen, and has roughly 25-30 dragons enlisted, but only about 10 will be in my lair
the union has a low key monarchy, key and mirah are the king and queen, and their daughter noeliea is the princess. but, key and mirah dont hold any real power. any shifts in the clan go by Cybele, an nature oracle
most oracles get visions of the future, sudden flashes that arent expected cybele has to seek them out in nature, most call a bluff before cybele smiles and wraps a vine around her arm with her magic and tells them their darkest secret. they dont think shes bluffing after that
the temples main goal is to do everything in their power to keep the ones who live in the oasis safe, and the ones in the oasis handle all the political aspects of things
they have a good system going, and the union is on high key lockdown always as the ones who live there are more then likely being hunted, but the ones who do live there can come and go as they please. however, any outsider who doesnt have an explicit invitation approved by cybele, aries, key, or mirah is likely to be executed before they get within 3 miles of the union.
there are of course, some exceptions, like wanderer. he’s a wonderful (snark) dragon. but will be explained at a later date.
