“ Rori ! ” he complained from outside her door, already a few glasses of scotch in and not particularly caring about waking her roommates. “ I lost my keycard and I’m hopelessly bored.”

Moving In | Demetria & Aurora
With a flick of her wand, Demetria levitated Aurora’s trunk and moved it through the door, into the middle of her sitting room. Her flat was shabby - there was no doubt about that. The whole apartment had consisted of 3 rooms: a combined sitting room and kitchen with appliances so old that they creaked and moaned whenever they were used, a bedroom for Demetria, which was nothing more than a mattress on the ground, and a bathroom, which was possibly in worse shape than the other two rooms. Suffice it to say that Demetria wasn’t exactly handy around the house. She didn’t care enough to be.
Demetria had spent the weekend expanding the flat to include an extra bedroom, which Aurora was currently moving into. Technically, expanding a house by magical means wasn’t exactly legal, but she couldn’t afford any place bigger, so it would have to do. She was rather proud of her handiwork, and excitedly awaited Aurora’s reaction.
“Here we are,” she said, stepping into the flat and gesturing to the open door on the right of the living room. “This is where you’ll sleep. It’s a bit of a dump now, but I bet we could fix it up, don’t you think?”
