tbh we got more character dimension in finn than some characters have gotten in 3 seasons

Hey guys, I was hoping I’d never need to post something like this but I’ve been assessing the activity of the FYHM blog posters lately, trying to best divide the efforts of keeping the blog active (since I can’t take all of the load myself and I want to keep the blog active).

I’ve noticed that some people are: a) signing up and never posting anything at all b) signing up and never  posting anything, saying you’re busy, yet continuing to make things for personal/other blogs c) signing up, posting just once and then not doing anything again

I appreciate that some of you have said “Oh I’ll be really busy for a while due to school/ family/ other real life situations, but I’ll post as soon as I can” which is absolutely fine! I understand that school and real life are totally more important than the blog. However, some people are just not posting at all, with no explanation why.

If you’ve already spoken to me about why you can’t post, then that’s absolutely fine, but my hope is to have a team of active members who communicate regularly.  When there’s reasons that extend a few months, then I may have to prune the blog contributors, regardless. As much as I understand everyone saying they’re busy, if you can’t help out for months and months, then your spot could be filled by someone who would be able to help out now. As much as I dislike doing this, I’m going to put a rule into place from now on, that if someone has been inactive queueing posts/making original posts on the blog for two weeks, then I’m going to message them and just let them know that they have two weeks to become active again.  That would be the time to reply to me and let me know if they have a very good reason why not. If it’s not resolved by the end of those two weeks, then that contributor will need to be removed from the blog to open a slot for someone who can contribute.  Any new members, from now on, get a two week trial period. If they don’t really do anything in that time, then they will be removed.

If I haven’t heard from you in a while, and you’ve had something come up, if you could send me a quick message and let me know what’s going on, that would be great. If I’ve already spoken with you, then know that I understand your reasons. I just wanted to communicate clearly with everyone so we can keep the blog active and running smoothly.
