      She knew that she hadn’t been the easiest person to deal with when it came to the insane training she’d thrown herself into in order to defeat her brother. Jaina had been blinded with her own anger and heartbreak that she’d refused to acknowledge how much Jagged had done for her. But now, as she sat in the medbay her injuries having been tended to, she realized how much she might have hurt someone that she loved more than she could even admit to herself. 

     It was why she asked for someone to get him. So they could talk.

She’s thankful there’s a mandate against featuring foster kids on the news for their safety, because Christine was tired of reporters in her face. She’s only a Viscountess, so it’s not like she’s a Duchess or a Princess or anything, so the coverage was never awful, but she appreciate the breath here.

She’s alone--Raoul is busy with a Navy excursion--and although she’s been a Viscountess for years now, it’s tough to always look in the faces of kids she used to be. The foster kid who now wears a tiara. A little fairytale, huh?

Christine looks over just as a couple of little girls go running off to a little boy, maybe seven or so, who is sitting alone. Frowning to herself, but smiling gently as she stands, she walks over and kneels down beside him.

“Hello. My name is Christine. What’s yours?”

(to remind Siri she's not a terrible person) Rey wrapped her arms around Siri's middle and pulled her into a tight hug. "You're a good mum," Rey said, because it still felt weird to say affectionate things. But Siri deserved to hear this, so Rey could step out of her comfort zone to say it. "Thank you for being my mum."

She couldn’t help but smile at the unexpected, but definitely welcome, hug from Rey. The warmth of the love from both the hug and the words touched her, and meant more than Rey probably knew that they did. She wrapped her arms around Rey to return the hug, ducking her head down to kiss the top of Rey’s head. 

“ Well thanks for letting me be; you’re pretty great too, you know. ”

Cyn smiled coyly at Ben. Talon supported her bad habits, which included flirting with, dating and having sex with those whom she found attractive. Ben was... one of the most beautiful men she’s seen in her life. And she wants him. Talon left Ben and Cyn alone as he went to go talk business with Ben’s mother.

“So,” she started, still smiling. “Are you single?”

             The former admiral almost sighed at the other’s expression, a flicker of mild annoyance flashing across his features as he slipped an arm around the chiss and (painfully) helped him to his feet.  There wasn’t enough bridge crew left to function...he didn’t want to let the admiral in him consider the deaths they’d already sustained, the loss of material, personnel, and weaponry they were sacrificing, but...

          “Thrawn, the ship is lost...we need to get to the hangar, yesterday, so we need to move.  We need to get you somewhere safe.”

             Yularen’s tone brooked no argument, even as a harsh cracking noise splintered up the center of the ship.  That was the durasteel beginning to give way beneath the onslaught...they needed to move...now.

          “Come on.  Time to regroup and plan later, we’ve lost this one.  Time to accept it and cut our losses.  We can do nothing if we stay and fight but sentence more men to death, including ourselves.”
