Muse thoughts meme
🐍 - What reputation does your muse think they have? Are they right?
"... They say I am a beast," the ailing man said in a soft voice. "They say that my presence contributes to the problems of Yharnam... Before I became bedridden, they would often talk about me... Yharnamites aren't known for their subtly, as I have learned."
A few coughs could be heard from inside the window.
"'Lousy off-comer... All these problems, it's your fault, bringing your foreign sickness to Yharnam' they would tell me... No, their hatred toward my ilk was no secret... They took no shame in their disdain toward me and... People like me... Or... People who weren't even like me. Just... People who weren't them."
As he went on, there came a certain bitterness in his voice, feigning the accents of the Yharnamites as they would often feign his own:
"'We know what you are; you can't hide it from us. You'll show your true self soon enough. You'll burn. Just as all those before you have.' I'm not a beast! I didn't bring this affliction to Yharnam! I just--"
Before he could finish, his voice started to choke. A series of loud, hacking coughs could be heard, lasting for a good long moment before falling silent. Silent, save for a few, trembling breaths.
"... Forgive me."

Stranger in a Strange Land (@aurumsanguine)
Hooves clacked on the cobblestone road, slow and steady. Edwin had been traveling for at least a day by now but he and his horse were beginning to grow weary of the trip itself. This land was something that he’d heard of but never really visited until now. Hopefully it would yield more answers for the questions he had but it was doubtful.
It didn’t take much longer to arrive within the city itself and the mage was awestruck by the architecture. Having chosen to merely walk and lead his horse with him as they walked, Edwin looked around in silent wonder. It was astonishing! Brilliant even! There had to be a library somewhere or somewhere to study but... things felt off. He understood what this city brought but the emptiness of it was haunting. It was a place where the last of the gods resided after all.
The chapel was the first place to search as where else were such beings than there, right?
[ Date??? // Accepting! ]
@aurumsanguine said: [ BAR ] Laurence and Lilli both lost a bet and are now forced to go on a date with each other.
She can’t believe this is happening. Both, Laurence and herself, had lost a bet to Gehrman... And the punishment for both of them that the hunter choose was to go on a date. Together. At this point Lilli has the feeling that he tried to get them along better... or kill each other. At least they could choose what kind of date they went on. Or rather, Laurence did choose. Once because she let him, second because... well, the thief never had once been on a date. So she wouldn’t even know where to go.
And now there they were. In a bar. She didn’t knew why he choose a bar for this but eh. Whatever. Lilli was also rather thankful that not many people were around right now. The woman had ordered some ale. Nothing with to much alcohol. Last time she had gotten drunk around him was... very awkward. Thankfully they hadn’t said a word about that time.
“ Huh... Funny that you choose a bar for... this. Knowing you I expected something more... fancy. “
She mumbled, and took a sip from her drink as she side glanced at the vicar. He was the head of the church after all. Of course she expected him to choose to do something more ‘special’.
“ Pah... Can’t believe Gehrman is making us do this anyway... ”

The energy of this place was pressing down upon the wanderer like the weight on an ocean. People were few and most seemed locked away. It was good she brought her mask or else she may’ve worried about what could linger that caused such isolation. Creatures of indescribable shape hung at the edges of her sightless gaze, making her stay to the shadows.
Finding the doors of a church to be open was a welcome solace indeed. Much like the outside, however, the cathedral carried just as oppressive an energy. The wanderer traced a hand on the lines of a stone column as she paused by the door.
“Hello?” Liesel called out, hoping whatever called back was human or at least friendly.

Reynolds let out a low, yet very annoyed, sigh while he followed his client, who was talking an awful lot, on the way to the healing church of yharnam. If he had known that this man was such an... unpleasant person he would have never accepted the job to be his bodyguard on his way to this secluded town. But hey, even he needs some mondey. Also his client was an rich nobleman, which gave the mage also the advance that he was able to get into towns and cities more easily.
When they had finally reached the church, it was already late, and it made the man wonder if they shouldn’t wait unitl the next day. At least Reynolds found it rather impolite to keep the head of the church still up at this time, but his client didn’t seemed to care. He was here to make business. With the ‘healing blood’. Whatever that actually was. He had told the mercenary about it. ‘Blood that heals any illness or injury’. That sounded almost like something magical.
The duo then spoke to some church servants, with Rey being a lot more polite towards them than the nobleman, before waiting for them to talk to their vicar... Though something made the mage feel more than just uneasy as they waited. Not one of the churchmen who passed by... but something else. He slowly then turn his head towards a window... just to see eyes staring back at him. Many eyes. From a creature that he has not ever seen before. Like a spider it clinged to the outside walls of the church. Though Reynolds didn’t exactly reacted to the sight of the creature. He stared at it, yet didn’t screamed or anything. It’s not the first time he sees strange creatures. And by the lack of reaction by everyone else, he doubted they saw it. Though now the mercenary was so distracted by it, that he didn’t saw the incoming vicar.
