But then he nodded.
"Heh, I, I wouldn't want to, to put them in, in any danger, but heh, I'll, I'll try and, and keep that in, in mind," Russell agreed, "And, and if, if any, any friends need my, my help, I'll, I'll gladly come, come running."
Russell nodded.
"Y-yeah, it, it was a, a coincidence," Russell said, "Well, um, I've, I've been one for, for a, a while, but, but didn't find out until, until rec-recently. Apparently, a, a lot of things played, played a part, like, like my, my proximity with, with the supernatural, the, the close calls I, I had gone through al-already, and, and well, I, I ap-apparently was, was supposed to, to die but, but I, I narrowly got, got out, and then I, I became an, an Undying."
Russell still didn't fully understand it himself, but that was what he had been told. But then he nodded.
"Y-yeah, I, I don't blame him," Russell said, "I'm, I'm small and, and a, a beanpole and, and acted like I, I was too, too afraid to, to do anything for, for a bit. I, I mean, I, I was scared, but, but I, I knew I, I had to, to bide my, my time too. Just, just wait for, for the right moment to, to catch him off, off guard."
But he couldn't help but smile at the comment.
"Heh, no, he, he didn't, he didn't take it and, and that was, that was what saved me in, in the end," Russell said, "He, he was, he was arrogant and, and thought he, he had the, the comp-complete upper, upper hand. But once I, I got him on, on the ground, I, I ran for it."
But the smile softened and there was warmth in his blue eyes at that.
"Y-yeah, we, we did," Russell said, "And, and I'm, I'm glad you, you didn't get, get caught up in, in that. I uh, I, I'm sure you, you would, would have been fine, but, but it, it doesn't mean you, you should have to, to, to face someone like, like that."
The mage smiles when she hears that. Heh, he sounds a little like Bill and Leofric with not wanting to call anyone for help but being the first one to offer it. Guess they all had that in common, huh? They wouldn't accept her help either because of the fear or her getting in danger.
" Good to know! Please keep in mind, I too vould come to help you if you called me! "
Lilli then nods along as Russell explains. He didn't knew he was an undying until recently? Well, that didn't really surprise her all that much. Many people didn't knew they are actually capable of doing magic their whole life. So it's no surprise to her that something like this wasn't noticed until now.
" Damn. Zhat sounds like some final destination kinda shit actually. Zhe vhole escaping death part especially. "
But in those movies, all the people died. He was still standing.
" And don't say zhat! You aren't zhat small nor a beanpole! I get being afraid though! I mean you got kidnapped! "
And wouldn't that scare most poeple? Especially if zhey didn't had any powers or something like that.
" Heh, vhat an idiot for underestimating you! Smart of you for making a run for it immediately. And heh, Bill and zhe others said something similar. But I honestly vouldn't have minded to give him a piece of my mind. "
The mage laughs, before taking a look around for a second and on the menue of the coffee shop. Ah! Shouldn't she order something? It seemed kind of a waste of his time to not order something and just chat with Russell.
" Oh! Vait! Let me order something! Kinda feels veird to just stand here and chat and not order anything, heh. Hmmm~ Vould you recommend anything, Russell? I heard you make a great Latte! So good zhat even Five's minions loved it, heh~ "
"Fine, I won't tell you that." He snorted, both of them knowing damn well it was the truth. There were very few people in Hank's life that he actually got happy seeing, and Lilli was one of them.
"Eh. He told me I could have the week off, and now suddenly I have to do shit for him. Just once I'd like to see him go on a mission instead of barking orders at us."
Admittedly, his and Doc's relationship had grown rocky recently, though it wasn't like they didn't entirely get along. He got along better with Doc than anyone else in the group, and that was saying something.
She laughs at that. They sure both know the truth. Or at least Lilli guessed from how he talked about his teammates and other people, that he didn't really had many friends that Hank looked forward to see.
" Ugh. I really don't like vhen someone goes back on zheir vord. He sounds kinda like a prick, not gonna lie to you. Vhy doesn't he go on missions? "
Kinda unfair in her opinion that he only sends Hank and uh... the other two she forgot the name of, to missions. And doesn't even gives them some time for a break! Perhaps she could help Hank to get his free week.
" You know, perhaps I could take you to my vorld for a little vacation! I doubt he vould be able to contact if you vere zhere, heh. Just if you vant of course! I sure vouldn't mind spending some time vith you! "
Because despite what she had heard about the tall grunt, he was actually pretty nice in her opinion!

It sure was hard to forget Hank, huh? There wasn't many nearly 7 foot tall ninjas with metal jaws walking around.
The lower shutters on his goggles closed, giving the illusion of Hank making a happy face, since he couldn't exactly emote any other way.
"Do you really want an answer to that? Same old shit." Same hating everything about his life. But it is what it is.
Hank snorted. "At least my day has improved now. I was just gonna spend most of it avoiding Doc cause he pissed me off."
Heh, is he trying to make a happy face there? Given how his goggles changed, which she found totally cool, Lilli would guess so. Really makes her wonder how they actually work. And would he let her wear them if she asked? They look so cool.

The mage wasn't really sure what to say. Or how to make him feel better. Was there even anything she could do or say to make him feel better about his life? Probably not. Though it does make her always sad to see him so miserable. There is a small smile appearing on her face though when she hears his day has improved now.
" Vhat? Don't tell me it improved just because of me~ Oh, and vhat did he do zhis time? Has he locked you out of zhe kitchen again because he is salty again? "
She hasn't met Doc yet, but does know a little bit from what she had heard from Hank. They don't seem to get along much though in her opinion. Or at least that's what she assumes.

She has seen strange stuff before. Herself included. But a guy punching meteors is new. Lilli had been ready to turn off the autopilot of her spaceship to avoid the oncoming rocks herself when the alarm started to ring. But upon seeing the man she hesitated... Also because he was doing a good job on keeping them away from her and the other spacecrafts...
Looking around, she is not even the only one staring. Well, it's not something you see everyday. The lone spacefarer waited until Rex was done punching the meteors and protecting the ships before she slowly made her ship come closer to him and waves at the cosmic contender with a smile through the windshild of her ship.
" Hi! Nice vork you did zhere, Mister! Vould be zhe first time for me to see someone punch meteors! Are you using some kind of technology to do zhat? "

She doesn't likes piranhas. So small and yet so cheeky. Think they are a shark then they are nothing but small little fishies. Sure, they can do some damage, but nothing in comparison to a shark. Just like right now. A human fell into the water, and the piranhas wanted to show her that they are 'way better' than the sharks. Hah, they can't even make that human bleed! ... Wait, hold on. Why isn't he bleeding? Sure, they don't do much damage but they can still break skin. And she can't smell any blood.
Because of her curiosity, the sharkmer swims over and shoos the piranhas away. And with some protests they finally leave Rex alone and swim away. Lilli takes that time to grab the man and pull him to the surface. She has so many questions! ... Besides her instincts are really triggered by him flailing and screaming like that.
" They bit you... but you are not bleeding... Why? "
She immediately asks, not caring if he needed to catch his breath first or was having some reaction about her not being human. One human seeing her isn't such a big deal.
