Ok guys LISTEN UP
This isn’t a usual post but I feel very strongly about this and I think some people need to hear this(obviously this is just my opinion don’t take it too seriously)
Frodo and Sam aren’t platonic. They’re not gay either.
Frodo and Sam went together through literally the most difficult hardship in all of Middle Earth. They hauled their asses all the way from the Shire to Mordor and destroyed the most powerful evil in the world. And just to give you some perspective on how far they really went, here’s a map comparison.
Through it all, these two stuck together and always had each others backs(in the books anyway). Going through something like that will change you. Forever. And with another person, you learn to help and lean on each other. You learn the persons deepest flaws, but also their greatest strengths. Undergoing something like that will pull every ounce of your soul out into the open.
Sure they kiss, hold hands, cuddle. They laugh, cry, yell at each other. Sure you could take that as gay. But their relationship just goes so much deeper than that. Their mutual understanding of each other and their pain is what makes them so special. I often compare them to Kirk and Spock from Star Trek.
What I’m trying to say is that humans love to categorize. When we see or feel something we want to say, “Well, we have to give this a name and put it in a box because if it doesn’t have one then it’s weird!” But in a dream world, no one cares who you like. No one cares what you look like. No one cares who you live with or who you make out with. We’re all just people, all together in this strange place trying to figure out who we are. And that’s ok(though society tells us it’s not)! We should be able to live the way that we want to live, love who we want to love, and be our true selves.
I think I kind of went on a tangent, but I really wanted to spread this message. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to fit in a box. We weren’t meant to. Be who you are! Soar!!
