2 – Aleyna

Four weeks in, and Aleyna has yet to disappoint. It could’ve been easier to get lost in the wider shots, like some of the other girls did, but Aleyna instantly catches my eye. Her body looks incredible in the clothes here, and the stance is filled with power, with a chilled edge. The arm holding the motorcycle is a bit limp, but I like that she tried to interact with the setting. The face is really solid too, seductive and powerful eyes, beautiful jawline. Another beautiful shot to add to her portfolio.

2. Kassidy

Kassidy’s picture may potentially come across a little cheesy, but I adore how much she committed to the character. The devil-may-care look in her eye and the mischievous smirk are perfection, plus her new makeover looks so good here! Even though she’s seated and hunched over (and admittedly lost her neck) she worked every single part of the outfit. She meshed so well with the male models surrounding her as well, she’s definitely a believable part of the squad. Kassidy keeps on rising up the ranks!

1 – Jessie

Jessie was the clear winner this week, so it was sad to see her have to share her first call-out with two other girls. A perfect blend with the styling, setting and remaining modelesque. She was the only one to nail every aspect. Her makeover works incredibly well for her here, the harsh fringe frames her face, adding a darker layer that makes the intensity of her eyes shine even more. The pose is casual, but open, showcasing the full outfit despite being stuck behind a motorcycle. Jessie had a difficult set to work with, but the attitude she displays is entirely on brand for this shoot.

3 – Linnea

Linnea’s face is incredibly striking, that even at a non-ideal angle it can sell a shot. I think that is the case here; slightly too downturned, rounding out her features a tad too much, but still stunning, eyes, plump lips. Could be better, but still one of the stronger beauty shots of the week. The body is nice too, there is conviction and confidence in her stance, even if the way she is spreading her legs feels a tad awkward. She has the vibe, it just needed refining for it to truly deserve the praise it got at panel.

4 – Vitoria

Vitoria continues her showing as a competent model, and the panel continues to underrate her at every turn. Facially, this is entirely different than her previous shots, which have all been face on. This semi-profile looks incredible, I love the glare off to the side, such a beautiful expression. It makes her click with the models around her. The squatted position is a difficult one to really make work in a fashion shot, I don’t think the clothes are too covered, but it isn’t the greatest visual of them. Still, Vitoria’s body looks good, keeps her height, and she feels natural in the crouched pose. A solidly underrated photograph.

5 – Jordan

When I first watched this episode, I was stunned to see Jordan go. She was two weeks out from a first call-out, solid photos each week, and this shot was just overhated by the panel. I can see the technical issues, the expression isn’t that strong, and the hunch along with the positioning of the camera make it a bad option for a fashion shot, but the overall impression of the photo is really strong for me. It has this grungy edge that I don’t think anyone really managed to capture, it feels like the type of shot for an alt-fashion brand. Also, Jordan’s eyes really pierce this shot, despite being hidden in darkness. Definitely the most confusing elimination so far this cycle, especially given Belinda and Daisy were both still about.

6 – Kassidy

I have mixed feelings on Kassidy’s makeover, but I absolutely hate how it is styled here. It feels like a cheap bond villain with the styling, but Kassidy makes it work…kind of. The positioning of the legs and left arm feel good, natural with that slight edge. She has lost her neck and other arm though, with the black material kind of blending in. The face is what feels a bit much for me, it looks slightly corny. I also don’t think Kassidy has the strongest face, as even though I think it is a nice enough angle, I’m not blown away. All in all, definitely the weakest of the trio of first call-outs for me.

7 – Daisy

This is the one-time Daisy’s snarl could’ve helped her get a brilliant shot, but she still managed to produce a mediocre photograph. The eyes here are just giving me nothing, again another model looking dazed. The body though is fine, the clothes look good, and she feels like the prominent part of the photograph. With the hand on head and nothing expression, do get slight headache vibes, but the shot is still passable. Is it enough to justify her surviving again? Who knows, the others certainly did worse, but Daisy making it past week 4 was definitely not something I’d have seen happening.
