When I started watching the fifth season, I actually expected Ashi to be an antagonist for a bit longer. She’d constantly try to thwart Jack. He’d defeat her a couple times, but she’d always avoid the final blow and slink away to recuperate, stalking from the shadows. Then she’d attack again when she was ready. She’s determined to avenge her family and make her destiny come to fruition. Jack seeks the light because Ashi shows him what he could become. Part 1?
