Louis was not the kind of pathetic sod that cried to bartenders. "Oh God," Harry gasped, pure horror in his eyes. "I'm so sorry, Louis, fuck. Being a single parent sounds so much, I have newfound respect for my mother." Louis froze at that. Single parent? He laughed internally as he realized that it was a perfectly valid assumption to make when Louis was clearly the one dealing with all the fires. "Shit, sorry. Was that insensitive? I tend to put my foot in my mouth a lot. I meant it as a compliment, I swear. You're doing so well. Much better than I would be, for sure!" "I'm married," Louis said quietly. "To my daughter's mum. I- I'm not a single parent," he explained, his voice sounding faraway even to himself.
