On the evening of February 21st, Drew passed away peacefully in his sleep with his loving parents by his side. He fought valiantly against his cancer for over 6 years, but it is a cruel monster.

This blog will be part of his legacy, it was a place for him to create, build friendships, and be himself.

His family is so grateful for this community that has championed, supported, and loved him.

Hi Drew, even if we never met in person or even talked that much recently, you have always and will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember finding your tumblr before I had a tumblr of my own, it was through your fairy tale picspams. When I tell you I was in awe! I literally didn’t have a tumblr but would just look up your page to check if you had any new graphics and would show them to my sisters of how thoughtful and beautiful they were (I hope this isn’t weird to admit haha). But genuinely all of your graphics at that time, your if the months had faces, the inhabitants of neverland, the literature meme - they all inspired me and were like sun shining through the window and bringing light and taking away some darkness at that point in my life. Once I finally got tumblr, I felt so grateful and honored to have you as a mutual and friend. Every series I ever made was inspired by your work. Your ideas, your art, your writing have all inspired me for countless days and moments. Beyond all of that, you are just such a genuine and kind and funny person. Knowing you, even if just virtually, will continue to be an honor for me. Sending you every ounce of love, magic, and peace.

There are so many things I want to tell you, Drew, and some things I've already told you that I can't repeat enough. Yours was the first account I followed when I first set up shop on tumblr, though I'd been a fan of your blog for some time before that. I still remember my jaw dropping the first time you messaged me to chat about your Once Upon a Time reboot and followed me back, and since that day it's been an indescribably wonderful journey getting to know you and call you a friend. Your creativity and passion for your artistic pursuits is matched only by your kindness and compassion, and seeing a notification from you on my various accounts always makes my day a little better. The world is a brighter place for your presence, and will continue to be through the people you've touched. I hope that the days ahead will be filled with nothing but warmth and love, the same as you put out into the world. Sending you every hug I hoped to give you someday. I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. I want you to know you’ve been a source of inspiration for me whenever your blog pops up on my dashboard. My prayers are with you in this difficult time. Sorry I haven’t said anything before, but you always seemed so amazing and I was worried you didn’t want to be bothered by me. I hope you beat the odds on this again! I lost my Dad to colon cancer back in 2006, so I was sorry to hear you are suffering from the same disease. I want you to know you are a treasure and the world will be a darker place without you in it!
