La futura USS Kingsville (LCS 36) è rientrata a Mobile (Alabama) presso il cantiere Austal USA dopo aver completato con successo le prove di accettazione nel Golfo del Messico per la Marina degli Stati Uniti. Durante le prove di accettazione, sono condotte prove approfondite sui principali sistemi ed attrezzature della nave per dimostrarne il corretto funzionamento e la preparazione alla missione, alla presenza del personale del Board of Inspection and Survey della Marina degli Stati Uniti che vi partecipa per convalidare la qualità della costruzione e la conformità ai requisiti.  Kingsville sarà la diciottesima LCS della variante Independence ad unirsi
