Alternate Universe Storyteller Challenge (#AUSTC) (Sims 4)
Simblr Tag: Use the tag #AUSTC (stands for Alternate Universe Story Teller Challenge) for all posts so other people who’ve taken the challenge can easily find your posts.
Works Best For: Storytellers or rotational players who have created characters in multiple households and who have a world set up.
Purpose: To be able to live in the world you created and interact with the sims you created (albeit in a very promiscuous way).
Phase 1A: Make yourself and a sibling. Make a YA sim to represent yourself and also make a YA sibling. Your sim self does not actually have to look like you or have your traits, and your sibling does not have to represent anyone in real life. To round out your personalities, you may use cheats to give you and your sibling up to 3 reward traits each.
Optional: since this challenge involves both you and your sibling dating other sims, it might be easier if you're attracted to a different gender than your sibling is attracted to.
Preparation Phase 1B: Make an “apartment” lot. Make a faux apartment building on a residential lot. Make the apartment in a manner of your choosing or as follows: 3-story residential; 1st story--lobby (may contain parking, laundry room, multiple mail boxes, or any other common area one might find in an apartment building); 2nd story--apartment; 3rd story--second apartment.
Move your sims in. Set door locks so that siblings don’t have access to each other’s bathrooms or bedrooms but can access the living room, dining area, and kitchen of each other’s apartments. (You can unlock doors as needed when you have guests over.)
Phase 2A: (Sibling) Date. Your sibling is very traditional and wants to find "the one." The goal is to find a girlfriend or boyfriend for your sibling. Your sibling should hang out with or date potential partners. Your sibling should choose from a minimum of three potential partners by the end of this challenge.
Primary Paramater: The sibling must date sims who have a role in your story or rotation or an NPC who has played a role in your storyline; it cannot be a random sim you’re seeing for the first time. If desired, set up secondary parameters for who your sibling can date.
Optional Secondary Parameters: Secondary parameters can be based on young vs. old, single vs. taken (if you want to be devious and break people up), wealthy vs. poor, major vs. minor characters, club membership, career, hobbies, or something more specific to your unique storyline. Just make sure you have a big enough pool of sims to date who fit within the parameters.
Phase 2B: (Sim Self) Sleep around. You've always wanted a baby, but you're not sure about the whole marriage thing. The goal is for your simself to have no less than 1 and no more than 2 illegitimate pregnancies and at least 1 illegitimate child without using "try for baby." (Pregnancies and number of children are differentiated here because of the possibility of having twins or triplets.) Use MCCC or another mod to increase the percentage of risky woohoo. If you're not successful after one night, you must try again with a different sim.
Suggestion: start with a low risky woohoo percentage and increase it in increments if a pregnancy has not occurred within a certain amount of time.
Primary Paramater: The primary parameter is the same as for your sibling. You must hook up with someone who has a role in your story or rotation or an NPC who has played a role in your storyline; it cannot be a random sim you’re seeing for the first time.
Optional Secondary Parameters: See Phase 2A for suggested secondary parameters. The secondary parameters you set up for your sibling and yourself can be the same or different.
Optional: Phase 2C: Aged Screenshots of Child(ren). If you’re posting the challenge on a blog, post a picture of your child(ren) as a toddler, child, and teen for your followers to see what they ended up looking like.
Cheats: You can use reward trait cheats as stated in Phase 1A. You can use money cheats at any time. You will need to use MC Command Center to set up risky woohoo. You cannot use relationship or motive cheats. You must build up relationships naturally, as well as fill motives naturally.
Challenge Completion: This should be a relatively quick challenge once everything is set up. The challenge is complete when (1) your sibling has asked one of 3 sims they’ve seen romantically to be their girlfriend or boyfriend and that sim has accepted and (2) you have at least one illegitimate child.
Future Add-On Challenge? If you want to keep going. I made this challenge with the next step in mind, but I haven't written or played it yet. In the future, I'll probably develop a Phase 3 and give a complete list of requirements. In the meantime, here's the short version:
Two of your main characters marry people they would NEVER marry in your regular game. Also, your sibling marries their girlfriend/boyfriend and you marry anyone EXCEPT your baby daddy/mama. All 4 couples move into 4 homes on the same block or street and raise their families together as a close-knit neighborhood.
