Intro to Ceramics: Handmade Mugs
Calling all coffee and tea drinkers: have you ever dreamed of making a mug all your own? Following along with Tina from Brave Ceramics, we'll use the slab technique to build mugs from scratch. Then, add texture and stamps to truly make your mug one-of-a-kind. At the end of class, you'll have a one-on-one glaze consultation with Tina to choose your glaze color. Class work is then dried, fired twice in an off-site kiln, and professionally glazed, and will be ready for pick up at CRAFT within 4 weeks from your class date. In this workshop, you will - work with wet clay to create your mug - choose a handle for your mug - learn the slab technique and how to join clay pieces - play with texture on clay - learn in an intimate class with one-on-one instruction as needed Reservations required.
