For my throwback I opted for a sketch that will never be completed. 😅 It’s one of my favorite sketches of a piece of art that amazes me. The original is by the extraordinary Alphonse Mucha. A premier artist during the “Fin de Siecle”. The period was respectfully between the 1880s and the First World War. Art Nouveau was the new fresh style and advertising houses wanted to capture the “joie de vivre” that was erupting everywhere. This era often called “La Belle Époque” brought us greats like Violet Oakley, Emmanuel Orazi, Will H. Bradley, and of course Alphonse Mucha.
