little messy archive post today ✦
i almost never sketch. most of my illustrations are built straight in illustrator, fully vector, just placing shapes and nudging them around until everything feels right. i usually jump directly into clean forms instead of doing linework first.
but somehow this very cursed, very pointless, extremely messy liner survived in my files. it’s from around 3–4 years ago, when scarlet & violet had just come out and i was looking at a bunch of inspiration on pinterest. i don’t remember the original artists anymore :S
this was basically the rough that led to a finished piece i later animated. i’ll post the actual animated version at some point soon 👀
