I'm living in Austria right now and since this Hadine story started, I've been paying attention to the Austrian press to see when and how they would write about her/them. Today, yes today, on the 1st of february 2015, for the first time I found an article on "Seiten Blicke" (same target as Cosmopolitan).
I will try to translate / sum it up for you (sorry, neither english nor german are my mother tongues)
Cover's headline: Austrian supermodel loves a superstar - and she's under attack for that
Article's Title: She didn't deserve it!
Subtitle: "You Bitch!" the Austrian star-model is strongly attacked on Instagram. The reason: her flirt with the One Direction's singer Harry Styles
The article: Basically, the first part is about the hate and all the nasty comments (as well as death threats) she receives under every picture she posts on Instagram. The central part describes how and when they met and their relationship:
"Leopold and Styles met in November. Rumor has it that they spent her 21st birthday in January together - dinner in a fancy restaurant, the whole day on the beach, party included. [ my note: this is the official narrative of how Nadine's birthday went here: there was an online article with the exact same words] . And it seems that the womanizer Styles is getting serious with her, after being with Tailor Swift from the end of 2012 to January 2013 (she still writes songs about their break-up) and apparently with Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevigne too. Of course the relationship is officially not at all confirmed. An imponderability that drives all the Styles' fans almost mad."
The last part goes back to the bad comments and all the support she has from other friends.
What I found interesting is how words are twisted:
Cover headline: She's in love with him. Does he love her back? Are they in a relationship? Nothing is implied.
Article's subtitle: Ah-ah! They have a flirt then!
Article: Rumors, rumors and nothing confirmed.
