//this question is probably most relevant to courtney! she's neurodivergent and that's reflected in a lot of her physical mannerisms. she chews bubblegum to stim, she wears headphones to help with sensory overload, and she listens to music very, very loudly. i can't really reflect that in a blog post, though.
What's one of your inspirations for the way you write and characterize the trio on this blog, and/or Team Magma and Team Aqua as a whole?

//i've talked a little about how and why i characterize maxie the way i do in another post, so i won't reiterate that here.
//as for courtney, she's obviously got some heavy influence from her oras incarnation, especially regarding her speech pattern. out of the three of them, she's written as the most heavily neurodivergent, and reflects a lot of my own social anxieties and processing issues. she wears the headphones to help with sensory overload, something i do in public, and chews bubblegum to stim.
//tabitha, and especially his relationship with maxie, is actually based on their relationship in a fic i read once back in 2016 (don't ask, i won't be linking it). out of the three of them, he's probably closest to being basically just an oc--we're not given much to work with in rse. but, you fight tabitha just before or while you're fighting maxie in emerald, so i figure he must be maxie's right-hand guy.
What's Aqua like in this canon? Haven't seen anything on them
