Based mostly on book canon, in which Lan Wangji did not write that invitation, and Wei Wuxian takes some extra, incredibly genius precautions, thus avoiding his fate at Qiongqi path...but at what cost?

Wei Wuxian had turned back to make a remark to Lan Zhan—only to be faced with the tiniest, most breathtaking smirk. He’d felt simultaneously like a conquering hero and a swooning maiden.
I feel like this is a very accurate description of how WWX must be feeling most of the times when faced with LWJ's smirk or smile. And he makes LWJ a very happy man a lot of times during this fic.
This is the fic where WWX crossdresses, asks LWJ for his help, and, (fake) married, becomes Madam Lan in the span of a few days. If you’re in need of reading about happier events, you might want to read this canon divergent fic in which the events of Qiongqi Path go down differently and don’t end in tragedy.
