An Attempt to Stop

Oh boy have I got a treat for you!

Writing! Fresh today!

It’s a scene with Shadow and Kenna.

I had many feelings writing this, but it’s not too heart-breaking.

But yeah. Hope you enjoy.

Kenna blinked herself awake, surprised as she found her arms handcuffed behind her back and feet bound by chains. Yet she lay on a bed, with a mattress that morphed around her body, clutching at her figure in an almost unsettling manner. With much struggle, she pushed herself up, thankful her mouth was free to mutter all the profanities it wanted.

"You're awake."

Kenna's widened eyes darted to where the noise came from, her head following slightly. A cloaked figure sat on another bed, its sheets and duvet contrasting the darkness of the cloak with vibrant reds and peaceful oranges. Only the figure's feet and hands were uncovered to show dark hands which made her think and almost long for chocolate. The cloaked figure's voice was rough and masculine, a sharp, irritable tone to it as well.

She cocked her head in confusion, eyes now narrowing for an explanation, mouth about to ask.

"The name's Shadow," he interrupted, a husky chuckle following after as he shifted his formal position on the bed to one that was more comfortable - leaning on it with one hand, crossing his legs and relaxing his side onto the mattress.

"Unfortunately, my boss is busy interrogating another one of your little group - the leader?"

"I'm the leader, actually." She wanted to see this man's boss, and she fancied herself position as leader, not whoever else was being interrogated by the 'boss'. "Who are you, if you're not the boss?"

"I'm the one asking the questions, little miss, not you. And I really don't believe that you're the leader, so you're stuck with me."

"And who are you?" Her voice was almost snappy, demanding answers, eyes daring her current captor - if you could call him that - to not answer the question.

"I'm Shadow-"

"You've said."

"-and I'm the Dark One's secretary. Partner in crime, second in command, best frien-"

"This Dark One's sidekick?"

This didn't get much amusement from the cloaked figure, who was now irritably rapping his fingers on his thigh and, from the sounds of it, sucking his cheeks and then smacking his lips. He sat back up slowly, stance slumped as he leant toward Kenna. "You know what I hate about kids like you?"

"Kids like me?"

"You're entitled. Used to having the world at your fingertips. Spoilt. Sassy. Rude. Used to leaving an easy life."

Kenna scrunched her face up. "Rude? Says y-"

"Kids like you aren't going to enjoy this life that you're going to go into."

She relaxed her features as she felt confusion instead of disgust. "What?"

"What you're doing is going to require you to sacrifice everything. Your education, your past, your family, your friends, your connection to the world. What's going to happen will mean that you will have no connection to the world. You should reconsider starting this prophecy. It'll ruin your lives, and people are going to lose theirs. They already have, haven't they?" Shadow watched the teenager wipe her eyes and stifle her sobs, face melting with pity and patted her face with tissues. "I'm sorry about their loss. But we needed to make a point to you - if you continue to stay as a group and press on and kickstart this prophecy, all those deaths? That's just the beginning. More people are going to die and I can't even say that you'll live to see the en-"

"Stop..." Tears ran down her face and through her voice. "Please... stop..."

"I can't. You need to know the truth. This is why you have to stop. You may think you'll be heroes, but you'll only be murderers."

Kenna continued to cry, marks on her face and eyes red and puffy.

"You'll be just as bad as us."

More Character Designs

This would take some time and perhaps some feedback. I currently have a lot of character bios to write (Ayla, Davey, Charlie, Forest, Shadow, The Dark One’s, etc.) and only have ideas for some. However, my friend is creating a character for me to use and I will give credit where credit is due - but I will view this character as a base, and will edit traits if I wish to. This would reveal more characters and allow myself to have an idea of what characters look like to give to artists I commission (and also for artists who wish to draw characters for me to not have to draw the same character as everyone else).

Faceclaims

Some of my characters have faceclaims - if you would like me to, I will reveal which characters have a faceclaim and who those characters are. I will also, if requested enough, reveal other characters who will most likely not have a place in the series but are in the universe (such as Blake, Aidan and Nastasia’s late father, and Valeriya, Zlatko’s mother). This would be useful for me because I can then give these faceclaims to the artists I commission to draw my characters as a visual reference and to give people who want to draw or visualise my characters an idea of what they look like.

More Character Moodboards

I have recently been the mood to create moodboards, and I have created one for Jakob (https://the-blood-series.tumblr.com/post/160735846434/ihavenosoul12-excuse-me-my-fashion-sense-is for those who didn’t see it). If you guys want me to, I would happily make them for other characters! I believe that it would allow me to reveal parts of characters’ backstories (the shattered photo frame in Jakob’s symbolises a broken family) without spoiling the entirety of it and being subtle at it, and also allow consumers to have an insight on the character’s personality and attitude as well as their favourite things.

More Drafts/Extracts

Depending on how fast I write things, not essentially The Blood Series - little examples of my writing (I’m in the process of writing a Kevin x Jamie fanfiction which explores abusive relationships, which will help me to write characters like Aerron and Damien). If you guys want stuff like that, I may post some drafts, extracts and examples. Of course, it’d depend if I’m able to write anything (things such as being unable to access my laptop, family issues, my mental illnesses, writer’s block) and if I’m proud to show it off (or am nagged to) to people. This is a huge maybe.

Name Pronunciations

Some characters have names that are bastards to pronounce. Some are pretty simple - Eban, Kai, Alex, Charlie - but others... not so much - Mehmun, Kasi, Nastasia , Kiyoshi - and I don’t want people saying ‘meme-un’ or ‘ka-see’. Thought it’d be funny, it would probably frustrate me as well, and I wish to avoid this at all costs. This is definitely going to happen at some point, but I want to know if others want this to be soon and perhaps my next post. This would avoid mispronunciations (which would annoy me a bit) and help people not feel bad if I correct them (I wouldn’t have to).

Characters’ Sexual and Romantic Orientations

I have an uncompleted list of these characters’ sexual and romantic orientations - however, this doesn’t mean that if a character isn’t into women that you can’t ship them with women. Contrary to most people’s beliefs, I don’t think it matters, considering they’re fictional. Heck, I ship a straight male character with a gay male character (not saying names at the moment) so I wouldn’t care less if you did the same (just... no incest or paedophilia... please no). This would mean that you can have an insight on characters and even form theories and headcanons for them. Perhaps it’d give you idea of the character!

Anything else?

I can’t think of anything at the moment, and if you have any suggestions, please tell me them!

I know I’ve been posting not a lot of original content and whatnot, but I’m trying to change that.

I’m Considering Doing Commissions???

This is all a matter of ‘is it overpriced’, ‘will Mother let me use her Paypal’ and ‘can I work out how to use Paypal’. And if people will buy them. That’s a part of it too.

One of my friends has said it’s not too overpriced, but I’m still not sure. Judge for yourself. Please give me feedback.

Here are the details:

Writing Commissions

500 - 750 - £5

751 - 1000 words - £10

1001 - 5000 - £15

5001+ - £20

Five characters - + £0

Anything with five to nine characters - + £5

Anything with over ten to nineteen characters - + £10

Anything with over twenty characters - + 20

If I have to design a character for you - + £1 for each undesigned character.

If you think any of these are overpriced, tell me and we can work something out.

Rules

Since I am under sixteen (the age of consent here in England), there will be no smut. However I am willing to do gore and bloodshed and anything that does not involve sex or something.

If it's extreme, like with guts spilling out or torture, it will cost an extra £2 because it can make me uncomfortable, depending on how bad the pain the character goes through is.

I am inexperienced with commissions as these tend to be done by artists and I have never done this before. I will be taking money via Paypal, and I will begin writing only when I receive at least half of the money, and will not give it to you until the full price is paid.

I'll write for any fandom I know of and am up to date with! If I know the fandom but haven't seen all the episodes or read all the books, I won't write it (unless I am able to write it for a specific season or book), If you spoil it for me by making me research things, it'll cost £5. Sorry folks.

If I'm not in the fandom, give me things to run off and I'll try.
