Hello Book Friends! I'm sneaking out of my editing cave (yes, I'm still editing 𝘒𝘦𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘦) to say 'hi!' How's it going? I hope you're all keeping well ✨ Sorry I've been MIA. This 'final' read-through has turned into another round of edits! 😅 The manuscript feels better for it, so I'm not going to moan *too much*. Hello Book Friends! It's almost three weekend! 🥳 #yawritingchallenge asks after my MCs' Best Friends. Friends are important to both Michael and Erica. They turn to them and value the unique talented they bring. They don't always agree with their choices, but they'd never dessert them. Erica's best friend is Lizzie. Whilst Erica is quiet, Lizzie is bold, maybe a bit brash, but they compliment each other, bringing out the best in their friend. Michael has two close friends, Christian and Anatole, and is again the quieter of the two. Though Christian is quick to point out Michael's improvements since knowing Erica! 😉 Found family is one of my favourite tropes and features in my Soul Dominion series. I love it when a band of misfits form an unlikely—and sometimes uneasy!— friendship to try and conquer a common evil. Hello Book Friends! This is my last week of freedom before the half-term holiday so I've been grabbing every available minute to write and make headway on the rewrite of Book Two in my Soul Dominion series, 𝘒𝘦𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘦. #365writingweeklychallenge asks plot first or characters? For Soul Dominion, I was inspired by several landmarks on my daily commute when a student in London. After mulling on them, key characters and the story walked in my head virtually fully formed. So a bit of both ✨ #WritersFriendsChallenge asks use to share an aesthetic for our antagonist. In Book One, the only antagonists you really get to see are my Lost Souls. There are various kinds because, I believe, everything has a soul. This image—courtesy of Pinterest—is similar to my Virvatuli, known better as Will-o'-the-wisp.
