So, technically, I don’t have any of the conditions that are considered neurodivergent (typically, autism, ADHD, and sometimes dyslexia). I’m pretty sure I have ADHD, but I’m not officially diagnosed. Because of that, I collaborated with @djbead123 to create these (ie: they created ALL of these and I just went YESSSSSS because I loved them). Hope you like them, anon!
Doing a “read more” here because there’s a LOT!
1- Jared uses language and words that are considered rude but he means well. He uses sarcasm to mask his neurodivergence, thinking that it's how "normal" teens act.
2- Evan and Jared hold hands when Jared says it's ok. Sometimes touch is overwhelming but he still wants to be close to Evan. He really enjoys sharing his space with him
3- Jared has issues with people moving his things or putting his stuff in the wrong places. In class, he has a set way he arranges his computer, pencils, etc. He gets really upset when his system is disturbed and he can start stress stimming as a result
4- Evan has a fidget cube. He’s autistic and doesn't like making eye contact.
5- Both of them being neurodivergent has its ups and downs
6- Jared love love LOVES wearing Evan's shirts; specifically, ones that he wears when he stays over. He slaps and bounces and rocks when wearing them because of how they feel
7- Jared cannot stand still, he literally bounces or fidgets in place while standing and when he sits, he rocks in his seat
8- Evan has trouble speaking in crowds and he goes nonverbal when too nervous or upset. Sometimes there are days where he just can't speak at all. When he's with Jared, he's much more open and loud
9- Jared has a super good memory but is shitty about time. He’ll wake up late, remember what time he's supposed to turn in assignments but turn them in super late because he didn't notice the time pass, etc.
10- Jared loves computers and robotics club
11- Evan and Jared do cuddle and show affection. Evan is ok with touch but please don't do it without permission. Jared is only ok with touch sometimes but he loves cuddling with Evan and kissing him
12- They go to the park alot because it’s Evan's favorite place. Jared doesn't mind, his boyfriend is happy and stimming and showing Jared all the trees and pointing out every sound and thing he sees and identifying it. Jared listens.
13- Jared info dumps about computers and video games to Evan. Evan doesn't understands the mechanics of computers but he adores Jared flapping his hands and rocking while talking about his special interests
14- Evan chews on his skin or nails when upset. He’ll chew until he bleeds. Jared got him a chew necklace that's got a pine tree on it and Evan cried because it was such a nice thing
15- Evan got Jared a scented plush that lights up in the dark when turned on. Jared loves that little plushie SO much; the texture, scent, feel, color - just makes him so so happy
16- Evan is a picky eater and HATES so much when his food touches, it ruins it.
Jared, when he makes them both snacks/food, makes sure it's a food Evan will eat and that it DOESN'T touch
17- Evan doesn't understand alot of the memes Jared sends but sometimes he does and he laughs. Jared explains the joke to him if Evan takes it too literally and starts worrying
18- Jared begged his parents for TWO switches, one for him and one for Evan. Evan's switch is blue, and Jared's is purple and orange. They both play a lot of games until Evan gets tired. Jared has no awareness of time but when he sees Evan asleep, he covers him up just enough so that he isn't cold
18- Jared and Evan are both autistic but it doesn't stop them from being mushy in public, they just have their own way of being soft. Evan sends Jared a blue heart everyday, at a certain time, before class. If he can't then he says "blue heart" meaning "I love you.” Jared shows his love by calling Evan names that are parts of a computer, the important parts.
19- Jared knows asl and taught Evan so they talk in signs when Evan is nonverbal. Jared loves saying "I love you" and "baby" to Evan. It makes him blush
20: Jared and Evan spend time together just watching movies and eating snacks
