Meltdowns happen, it doesn’t make you a bad kid.

You don’t have to play like everyone else does, however you play is awesome!

It’s okay if it’s hard to communicate, it doesn’t make you a burden.

Stimming is normal and a great tool to get the feelings out!

Sharing your special interests doesn’t make you a ‘know it all’, it’s really cool that you are passionate about things!

Trying new things can be scary and being scared of that doesn’t make you stubborn.

My psychiatrist told me that it is super normal for autistic people to not identify with and feel their age, which is more common than you can imagine. So, the next time you, an autistic person, feel strange for being a permanent regressor and not being able to "grow up", know that you are not alone and that it is okay.

A reminder for any of my autistic followers, but it's ok that certain things might overwhelm you. It's ok to not be like other people. I know it might hurt, to see how different you are, to see how easy things might seem for others. I see you. And I see your pain. It's alright to need extra support.
